You can also purchase the desktop download from various retailers such as Costco, Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, Staples, Sam’s Club, etc. etc. etc.

When you use desktop software, there is an additional fee to e-file a state return. You can avoid that fee if you print, sign and mail the state return.

I tried calling but can’t get an actual person. I filed my taxes this am and the refund amount is not what it should be after fees, there’s around 300 being taken out of my return which it doesn’t add right after the fees are taken out, why is this
No one in the user forum has access to your account or to information about your fees.
How can I see my TurboTax fees?
No one in the user forum can resolve a billing issue. If you have a question about your TurboTax fees or billing, make sure you use the word “billing” in your request for help. Do not use the word “refund.”
Another possibility----do you owe tax due to the state? Did a summary at the end confuse you?
The “summary” given to you by TurboTax may have confused you. That summary just nets out the difference between a refund you are getting and an amount you owe. Or it adds two refunds or tax “due” amounts together.
The federal and state treasuries are completely separate from each other.
Your state tax due cannot be paid from a federal refund.
And….your federal tax due cannot be paid from a state refund.
Neither refund can be used to pay the amount due to the other one.
If you owe tax due, you have to pay it yourself by the filing deadline on April 15, 2026.
I have completed all my entries but TT wants a review of 5329T, I dont have an acct without a 1099r. Or, the $ amount shown
Form 5329 may be generated if you took a retirement plan distribution before age 59-1/2 (or for other reasons). This can be triggered by a 1099-R entry. You could step through that section again to check your entries.
Here's detailed info on Form 5329.
If you don't believe this applies to you, you can delete the form in FOMRS in TurboTax Desktop. Here's How to Delete Forms in TurboTax Online.
Why hasn’t my stuff been accepted
The IRS just opened on January 26 to accept/reject e-files. Millions of e-files been waiting on the servers in "pending." Start watching your emails now that the IRS is open. Many e-files are on the servers so it could still take a day or two. The IRS cannot accept all of them at the same time.
DID YOU E-FILE?
Did you e-file? Did you go through all three steps of the FILE section and click a big orange button that said “Transmit my returns now?”
When you e-file your return you will get two emails from TurboTax. The first one will say your return has been transmitted; the second one will tell you the IRS has accepted or rejected your federal e-file. If you filed a state return, there will be a third email (usually a day or two later) that tells you if the state e-file was accepted or rejected.
Check your e-file status:

I completed filing our 2025 1040 Jan 26th but I haven't received any email comfirmations that Intuit received it. In the past 20+ I've always received that email and the next stating the return was submitted to IRS. Why haven't I received these types of correspondence this year?

Are you sure it was e-filed? Do you have a valid e-mail address for your TurboTax account?
After completing the File section and e-filing your tax return you will receive two emails from TurboTax. The first email when your tax return was transmitted and the second email when the tax return has either been accepted or rejected.
