@Brittjoan99 Each tax year is separate. Your 2021 tax return only shows what you owe for 2021. It does not show anything for what you might still owe for 2020. Did you owe tax due for 2020 that you have not yet paid?
If you have federal tax due you can pay by mailing your payment with the 1040V voucher, (which has the address printed on it, having the payment taken out of a designated bank account, or you can pay directly on the IRS website.

You must pay your state tax due using the state’s preferred method of receiving payment. For most states that will be by making a payment to the state’s own tax website, or by mailing a check or money order.

I think i did owe for 2020 but it was only a few dollars and i paid that already was just wondering because i am just trying to figure out if i am getting my return back or not ?
@Brittjoan99 What does it say on your tax return? If you are getting a refund it will be on line 35a. If you owe it is on line 37. It cannot be both.

It doesn’t say anything on 35a but it says 6 on line 37

Then you owe $6 in federal taxes. You are not receiving a federal tax refund.

If you review your tax return you will see that your total tax liabilities were greater than your total tax payments by $6.
If your total tax payments were greater than your total tax liabilities you would have received a tax refund for the overpayment. But that is not what happened in this case.
Okay thank you
Owing $6 is not very much. You came out pretty even on your tax return. Your withholding and credits were almost just enough to cover the tax on your total income. Did you make more income this year? Or lose a dependent? And your dependents were a year older so you might have lost some credits for them. Could be many reasons. Compare your tax return to last years. What changed?
I don’t have any dependents and i will compare this year and last year also i will check to see if i did make more
