Then file an amended return and include the W2 income.
Your income was supposed to be included on your tax return. When your return has been fully processed then you need to amend it and include the W-2 income. It will take a long time----amended returns are taking about six months or more to be processed.

Even during “normal” times it takes about four months for the IRS to process an amended return. During the pandemic and due to the severe backlog at the IRS it is taking much longer—six months or more for many amended returns. Do not expect quick results from amending. When the IRS issues a refund for an amended return it will be by check. They do not make direct deposits for refunds for amended returns. You can watch for information here:

For some reason it didn’t post my full text I added my w-2 but now it says I owe part of the stimulus back but when I was going through my amend TurboTax asked did I receive the payments and I said yes it told me with my income listed I should have so I’m not understanding why I owe
You probably owe tax on your W2 income. You don't always get back all the withholding in box 2. The withholding wasn't enough to cover the tax on the income.
Do not amend until you get the refund from the first return. The amended return is only for the difference you owe back.
Look at the form 1040X …
Column A should have the figures from the original return, Column C the corrected figures and Column B the differences between the other 2 which needs an explanation on page 2 of the form 1040X.
If you completed it correctly you will see an entry on either line 16 OR 18:
On line 16 should be the amount you paid with your original return.
On line 18 should be the amount of your original refund you received.
Then you will see your extra refund on line 22 OR the new balance due you need to pay on line 20.
