Whom to talk to depends on what "lost return" means. And please confirm if you are referring to a "return" as you mentioned or if you meant to say "refund." Please provide some details, and folks may be able to tell you what to do. For instance, if you can't find an online return you prepared, we can tell you how to troubleshoot multiple accounts to locate it. That's a common circumstance.
Or you can phone TurboTax Support during business hours and they can question you.

My 1120 tax return and check is lost in mail
After using Turbo Tax for years and mailing my 1120 2019 Tax return and check for taxes due on 6-15 20, I have been unable to find someone at IRS to talk to. Have spent hours on hold at several times in last month. Only have receipt shown mailed return to Odgen, Utah
Seems like you are using a couple of usernames. That makes it very confusing for us when we are tryng to help you. You received a reply in your other thread when you used a different user name:
I mailed my 1120 tax return with a check for tax due on 6-15-20 and my check has not been cashed and I believe my return is lost
It has already been explained to you that it is taking a much longer time than normal for the IRS to process mailed returns. You say you have a receipt showing the IRS received your return.
I can get no information about my 2019 return filed on 12/18/20.
@Skipperface2591 Did you mail it? They are still way behind.
Do you mean your Refund? They didn't start opening the mail until June that was stacking up. Back in March the IRS closed their processing centers and stopped processing mailed tax returns.
See this IRS page for the latest information
https://www.irs.gov/newsroom/irs-operations-during-covid-19-mission-critical-functions-continue
Then only the IRS can tell you. IRS Where's my refund https://www.irs.gov/refunds/
Make sure you are using the refund amount from your actual federal tax return and not the combined amount Turbo Tax showed you at the end. That was for federal and state combined.
When you log into your account you should also see the status and if it was Accepted or Rejected, Started, Printed, Ready to Mail, etc. what does it say?

A 2019 tax return completed and filed in December of 2020 could only have been completed and filed using one of the TurboTax 2019 desktop editions installed on your personal computer.
The 2019 tax return could only have been printed and mailed.
Did you do this?
I was trying to find out where my refund was however all efforts failed. I then tried to find information about my actual 2019 tax return with the same result,
Still have questions?
