How do I enter the LICENSE CODE from a CD that was purchased

If you obtained the TurboTax CD from an authorized retailer, your license code is printed on the front of the insert in your box. 

If you obtained the TurboTax CD directly from TurboTax.com, your license code is printed on the packing slip.

If you obtained the TurboTax CD through TurboTax Advantage, your license code is printed on the envelope.

Do you have the License Code?  You can not use it for the Online web version.  Have you installed the CD Desktop program?  On Windows or Mac?

You first install the program.  Then when you launch the program it should pop up the Activation box to enter the code.

I have installed the program from a CD and moved it into the application folder.  It has not asked me to enter the license code and I cannot open the application.

Once you double-click on the icon, inside of Applications, it will Launch. Once its launched, it will ask you to enter the License Code.

Same question from me - If I purchased a used CD (with 3 filings remaining) but the license code is not included, how do I obtain it?

You will enter the License code in the  License code box on the activation screen, 

You’ll only need to enter it and validate the first time you install on a computer. You can, however, install the software on up to five of your computers using the same license code. If you need more, you’ll need to purchase another TurboTax license.

Where did you buy the software?  Was it from an authorized reseller? This link Where can I obtain authentic TurboTax software? has a list of authorized TurboTax resellers.

Without the License code you will not be able to use the software.
