Why can't I get my payment status?
To use Get My Payment, you must first verify your identity by answering security questions. If the information you enter does not match our records multiple times, you will be locked out of Get My Payment for 24 hours for security reasons. If you are unable to verify your identity, you will not be able to use Get My Payment. No action is needed to contact the IRS.
If you verified your identity and received “Payment Status Not Available,” this means we cannot determine your eligibility for a payment at this time. This may occur for a variety of reasons, for example, if you didn’t file either a 2018 or 2019 tax return or you recently filed and the return has not been fully processed.

I filed my 2018 tax return through turbo Tax (I have used them for nine years online). I logged into the check my payment status on the IRS site last week and I got the Payment Status Not Available. I then filed my 2019 taxes on April 17th. I am still getting the same message on the IRS site as of today April 22nd. I qualify for this money, which I verified on the IRS site as well as here on Turbo Tax using their calculator page to determine eligibility. There is no reason as to why I keep getting this message. There is nobody to call because the IRS has says on their site not to call them. This is not OK. I wonder how many people across the United States are facing this issue and are in desperate need for the money. I have read different new agencies that have said tax agencies like Turbo Tax and H&R Block customers are having these issues due to them taking our return money and it going into their account then it being transferred into customers bank accounts. Who do I check with about this issue? In needing this money, what do I do sit around and wait and hope for the best???
Did you type your address with ALL CAPITAL LETTERS? That is what worked for us. We were typing it in with normal letters every day and kept getting that message. We heard from friends to do caps. IT WORKED! Once we typed our address in with all capital letters, it took us to the next page to enter our bank information. I hope this works for everyone. We were relieved. God bless!
All caps did not work for me. Still get status not available.
Anyone from TurboTax willing to answer why this is happening?
Have been a loyal customer of TurboTax for many years. Their deafening silence on this problem isn't much incentive to come back next year ....

Scroll up this thread. An answer from TurboTax was provided by @CatinaT1
This doesn't tell me anything more than the IRS site has published.
I have submitted my taxes for 2018 and 2019, receiving a refund by direct deposit each time.
So what is the problem?????
You are no help what so ever. Wtf is going on and how do I get real help from someone?
I did my 2019 taxes on 04/01/2020. It was accepted ten minutes later. And to this day I check every morning with the gmp tool. And still get same massage payment status unavailable. But my brother did his the 15th of April and got his dd on the 22. To think I was about to buy the deluxe version of turbo tax lol never again with them. They should be inquiring and trying there best to get us answers. They just repeat the bs the irs website says. O and obviously my brother didn't use tt
It sounds as if the IRS likely had 2018 information on file for your brother with which they used to process his payment. Even direct entries into the IRS tool do not result in deposits in one week's time.
The IRS is not providing anyone any information aside from what is on their website. Their offices are currently closed, except for limited departments in limited capacities. No one is trying to keep information from you but the ONLY information that is available to ANYONE is through the tool on the website.
If your tax return was filed on April 1st, you can expect the return to have a processing time of approximately three weeks before any data from the return is transferred to other IRS systems.
There isn't any other information to give you, or anything else that you need to do or that you can do other than wait for the IRS to process your payment. They expect to continue to process payments throughout the entire summer - this is not a payment that will reach every taxpayer in days, although they are working as quickly as they can.
I have not received my stimulus check and have checked the IRS website and they have a message that states " they do not have my information".. I paid taxes last year using Turbo Tax Software. I cannot talk to a live person at Turbo Tax - which makes a person feel very uncomfortable ". I do qualify for the stimulus... I did type my address in ALL CAPS. There only 3 questions to answer - and they still cannot recognize me... Please tell me what the issue is.... the lack of communication and a straight forward answer on how to correct this situation would make a lot of difference -

One month later, no stimulus check and still getting "Payment Status Not Available"
Tried all the hacks, address in all caps, checked address against USPS ZIP Code data base, etc, etc ...
Anyone out there who knows where to go for help on this?
Thanks
Unfortunately, the only source for information about advances for the economic impact payment "stimulus check" is the IRS tool that appears to not have data available in your case. There isn't any other way to check on the status.
The system is still processing data and being updated, you can continue to try the tool every so often for updates.
The worst case scenario will be that your payment is applied when you file your tax return for 2020 in 2021. However, there is still plenty of time for payment to reach you this year as the IRS is continuing to process these payments and is expected to do so for the balance of the year.
