Keeps having a spinning circle on state Can't move forward or delete state taxes
Exactly. I can't push past this error message and Intuit support is useless
Where in the program are you getting this error?
Extension for both federal and state

Can't get past the "Hmm, looks like we hit a slight snag in this section" message.
I click on the file, then start, I see my refund, the order summary says $0, then hit confirm payment and I get the above message.
Tried using Edge and Chrome browsers. Checked all updates. Tried using a different computer. Tried using my phone, connected to 5G in case it was my wifi. All produce the same message. Any ideas? (I have been on the phone with Turbotax tech support for 2 hours, 10 minutes.

Well TT 2023 is having a problem too. It sucks.
Yup, I'm getting "hit a snag" in two places in TT 2023 Basic, Desktop Mac (fully updated):
1) Income Summary Page > Social Security (SSA-1099) > Update button.
2) Amazingly I also get it on the "Done with Other" button on the Other Tax Situations page. Sheesh!
The exact message is:
"Hmm, looks like we've hit a snag. We recommend you revisit the last topic you were working on to make sure all your info is correct."
Needless to say the suggestion that it is /my/ fault somehow is baseless and rechecking previous entries is to no avail. That [Sounds good] button gets offensive pretty fast. They should change that.

Same issue on TT deluxe Mac 1040. Can't enter Personal Property taxers after I had to enter Real Estate taxes directly on Schedule A. Early adopter for a buggy program.
As of January 25th 2025, I am encountering this message constantly. It pops up when updating the "Personal Info" Section, it pops up during the Federal Taxes section, and even in the State Taxes section (we don't HAVE state taxes!).
I'm using a new computer I bought this year, which is on the latest OS update, I've tried using 3 different browsers... nothing works. Just the infuriating "Oops..." error message. Now shopping for alternative software options.
You can try calling the TurboTax customer service number:
However, I wasted two hours of my life and all they ended up was telling me to open the form and fill in the data directly, I started that process in early January and still no progress.
Is this a Mac Desktop issue or does it happen on a PC as well? In either case, TT has gotten progressively worse over the past several years and I see all the signs of cost cutting and inability to retain talent. They are also pushing the on-line usage, which I refuse to use.
Please let us know what alternatives you have found.
It happens to me all the time this season, every time I try to submit and State Efile and hit on Pay by Credit Card.
did call the customer service but they have no idea what that is!!! also, they keep asking so many questions about security info.
That's insane.
