I don't understand the suggestions in this forum to delete the form to get around the problem. I need to submit the form 2210 and annualized my income.
why can't Turbotax read the right values that I have entered in the interactive form of "Underpayment Penalty". Turbotax is changing my values and I am $73 short in the total federal tax withholding ($73 dollar is not a rounding error). The interesting part is that when I print the form, the values in the printed form is actually correct but I am not able to fix this issue for e-filing my forms.
Can someone please advice how to resolve this issue?

sorry clearing out cache and cookies and changing the browser did not help either. I am using macOS Big Sur 11.2.1 and my safari version is 14.0.3.
please see the attachment regarding the message I received during Review process.
once I click on Fix botton, I am first asked to check Recipient ZIP code for form 1099-INT which I have checked and matched with what I see in my Federal information worksheet. Then I click Continue and I see another message to check entry on form 2210 (see the attachment). When I scroll down on the page, I see three categories but the data in these categories are not in-line with what I have entered in the interactive form for "underpayment penalty form". Below I have explained the issue:
1/1/2020 - 7/15/2020: matches exactly the value I had entered in the interactive form for "underpayment penalty"
Empty column: The title is empty but it has a box with the value that I have entered for 9/16/2020 - 12/31/2020 minus $284. not sure why there is a discrepancy between what I have entered and what TT shows here.
7/16/2020-9/15/2020: There is box covering half of this column and the next column for 9/16/2020 - 12/31/2020 and the value that is showing in that box is exactly in line with what I have entered for 7/16/2020-9/15/2020 in the interactive form for "underpayment penalty"
9/16/2020 - 12/31/2020: see the comment above

Wording is tricky, but the first field is asking you for TWO quarters of info and the second and third field are asking you for ONE. So your info should look like this:
Total taxes. Total should not exceed your tax amount (ex: $5,000)
FIRST FIELD: $2500
SECOND FIELD: $1250
THIRD FIELD: $1250
Thanks Cheryl!!!! Worked for my situation as well!!! Now I can file and not fret!!
Throw away your computer and run to the forest. Never worry about the "Just check one more thing" feature.
This worked! I called TurboTax and they suggested I submit without Form 2210 and let IRS calculate the penalty - but this would have meant a $2K higher penalty - so that wasn't going to work! I googled to see what others did with this glitch, saw this, gave it a try. And it worked. THANK YOU SO MUCH! I was ready to start re-inputting information into a new tax software, but would have much rather stayed with TurboTax - and this let me do this 🙂
Firm 2210 Kine D says the 4 columns does not add up to total withholding
To correct the withholding for form 2210, go to:
Rehydrating this thread for 2022 filing.
I have the same issue on my TT Deluxe desktop.
I even deleted the 2210 and also all other wages except our W2s. The total withholding does not match up to the total withholding of my W2s. And it differs by a few hundred i.e. not a rounding issue.
This is very frustrating. I have rather variable salary as there is a bonus component which might vary considerably. Feast or Famine level. So I want to enter my quarterly.
Will that even make a difference?
If you earned more of your income towards the end of the year, the annualized method should help.
For the annualized method, you start with the first quarter and continue adding for each quarter until the program handles the 4th quarter since that is the total for the year.
I put in quarterly amounts and you can see how the program creates an annualized income for each quarter. Next, input the tax withheld as the total for year to date. Since you are entering the information, I don't understand how it is rounding so oddly.
Since you are on desktop, you can switch to FORMS mode and look at the forms. You will see a section for capital gains as well. Go through the forms and look for errors.
The blue boxes are the data we enter. The black boxes are what the program calculates.
We had this problem too (2023 taxes). Here's how I unraveled the discrepancy - Click over to Forms, and on Form 2210, look at Part I, Line 6. That's the total federal withholding number they are using (which didn't match my 4 quarterly totals). Double click that number and a worksheet will pop up showing how they calculated your Federal Withholding. In our case, we discovered it was including Additional Medicare Tax that we paid as part of the total federal withholding.
I had this problem filing online today and had to scroll down to this uneditable form look at the 4 quarterly fields, do the math for the total they were looking for, subtract the 3 field value totals I couldn't edit from the total, and add the remainder in the 1 quarterly field that I could modify. And it finally took it - crazy...
You can also choose the annualized adjusted gross income method. If you are entering different amounts in each quarter, or leaving a quarter off, it can flag and give the error. Go back in the program until you see "Annualized Income Method" and select yes.
