Any lawyers on here for a class action suit? It's probably unlikely that lawyers use TT though
For folks who are having issues with some login screen info not showing - are you running Windows 11?
I am asking because I have experienced some user interface issues with other software on Windows 11.
In one case, pressing the ALT key showed the UI elements that were missing - so if it was on Windows 11, you might perhaps, give that a try (in lieu of changing screen resolution).
(Windows 11 is still half-cooked IMHO.)
I am running Windows 10 and TT Premier. For me TT would always crash when attempting to log in to Intuit. I could get no further.
I was and still am getting the blank Bank Login screen and am running Windows 10. The ALT key doesn't do anything for me. Only got it to work by changing the video display setting after I entered data for every screen/prompt. Do not see any characters in the prompt while entering the data until after changing the video display setting each time. Will make me think hard about using TurboTax next year and may also consider moving my funds away from Schwab into my other brokerage provider.
The class action suit idea is interesting. Crank up your favorite search engine and look for: Intuit TurboTax lawsuit. You'll find loads of articles. relating to a class action brought against Intuit.
The most comprehensive piece seems to be this one.
TurboTax Maker Intuit Faces Tens of Millions in Fees in a Groundbreaking Legal Battle Over Consumer Fraud
The class action ran into trouble because of an arbitration clause in the EULA, but that led to a switch to the novel approach of mass arbitration, as described here, among other places:
Intuit, the maker of TurboTax, faces tens of millions of dollars in costs in a landmark
judicial battle against consumer fraud.

Also of interest is this press release on March 29 or this year from the FTC:
FTC Sues Intuit for Its Deceptive TurboTax “free” Filing Campaign
None of this solves our immediate problem, but it is consistent with the cavalier handling of it. It's hard to blame the individual tech personnel. They likely have not been provided with the resources to test the products properly and fix any flaws.
EDIT: Apparently I am not allowed to supply links. You should be able to find the items by searching for the article titles as written.
I had same issue using my TT program so went to H&R Block and tried there and got the same stupid 'could not connect' error, which proves it is something with Charles Schwab site. I am thinking CS made changes for security but forgot to let their customers know. I had to enter manually and am having an auditor review. I am not happy about this, as its costing me more money.
I had the same trouble yesterday. TT could not get into my Schwab account. Finally, I logged into Schwab and kept it open while working on TT program. It worked perfectly and I received a notice that the IRS has accepted my return.
Worked without problems for me (I am on a Mac). TurboTax opened Safari to ask for credentials, then went back to TT and imported everything that was needed. Much smoother than last year.
I have multiple Schwab accounts. Was able to import one small one without a problem. The second one had more transactions and I tried about eight times until it finally imported okay. The largest of the three still will not import. I am fairly sure it has less than 10,000 transactions but it gives me this warning page: How do I enter a large number of stock transactions in TurboTax? (intuit.com)
New tax year, this time it worked. Fairly convoluted process as I had to go through multiple screens and approvals before Schwab allowed me to download my data to TT. But, it did go through eventually without any issues. My take is this is all Schwab. Last year they implemented a new security process that had not been fully vetted with TT and it was a HUGE problem. A year later - no issue. But, given the ease that I can download from my other brokerage account vs. the hurdles I need to jump to download to TT with Schwab - one has to wonder if Schwab really has their act together when dealing with 3rd party integration. IMHO
Thank you for posting your solution. After closing and restarting TT and then selecting Schwab as brokerage it opened a tab to Schwab in a different browser and provided directions as to how to transfer the data. I didn't have to change the password in doing so.
TT needs to be more pro-active in informing clients of these changes as this added 30 minutes to tax reporting.
How do I get this help
We'll help you enter it manually so you can keep working on your taxes.?
In TurboTax online and in TurboTax CD/download, investment sales are manually entered in essentially the same way. In TurboTax online, you can manually report your investment sales as follows:
If you are using TurboTax CD/download, the process is similar. From the Wages & Income tab, scroll down to Investment Income, and select Stocks, Mutual Funds, Bonds, Other. On the next several screens you can enter your information.
Your investment sales will appear on Form 8949, Sales and Other Dispositions of Capital Assets, and on Schedule D, Capital Gains and Losses.
its now February 2023 and the SAME ISSUE!!! HELP TT!
Same here. No help from TT
