I've contacted both TurboTax and Schwab about this last year and this year, and, long story short, both blame each other for the technical issues importing from Schwab into TurboTax that started last tax year. At this rate, these issues will still be here next tax year.
have you tried a different browser, clearing browser cache. I use Chrome and have successfully imported from Schwab for over 10 years. However certain items will not import like info on Widely Held Investment Trusts. never had an issue with dividends, interest royalties, 1099-B, 1099-R. However, I don't have 1000's of 1099-B transactions which some users do. I also use desktop.
Not sure if any of those in this thread are still watching it. I tried again with my iMac to find the right keychain so that I could use it to have Charles Schwab download my 1099s. I don't know exactly how I found it now, but I stumbled it to it. I used it and the 1099s were all downloaded. I had a bunch of them and really didn't want to hand enter all the data. this feature is the major reason I still use Turbotax each year.
had a problem getting the 1099-R to reflect the taxable portion of the RMD. Received some good help from one of the experienced members of this forum and was able to get that to work. I'm almost ready to file my 2022 taxes now.
I wish it was easier to get telephone support from Turbotax. But, there is good help here on this forum. Thanks!!!
Just lost this post before it was posted. Thanks for saving my draft so I didn't have to retype it.
Posting before it gets lost again!!

Chrome Windows 11, still get the "No eligible accounts available to link" on Schwab's end on TurboTax H&B 2023. I have a 1099-DIV and 1099-INT with Schwab.
I guess this issue is never going to get fixed...
I was able to import my 1099-B (and 1099-INT, 1099-DIV) from Schwab this year in TurboTax H&B 2023. So happy they fixed the issue. Already filed my taxes.
Weird it's working for some and not others. I don't have a 1099-B this year but have a 1099-INT and 1099-DIV. On the Schwab site at Security Settings > Third-Party Access, I don't see TurboTax nor any way to add TurboTax there.
I'm using Deluxe on CD and it still gives me an error regarding being unable to connect. I just entered everything manually.
Yesterday, I was able to import my tax data from Schwab to TurboTax Home & Business 2023 with no problems.
Data for 1099-B, 1099-DIV and 1099-INT.
I was using the Brave Browser. It was necessary to put the SHIELD down on the particular web page in Brave to allow the import to work. At the upper right of the Brave screen there is an icon that looks like a shield with a face on it.
Hope this helps...
Hi,
While the import worked fine (2/16), it's not downloading the Form 8949 (gains & losses) portion of your data! ONLY if you are the person managing the account would you know that you did some trades, etc. so many folks will be missing it.
IT APPEARS CHARLES SCHWAB MISSED THEIR TARGET DATE OF 2/14 TO SUPPLY US WITH ALL OF OUR INFORMATION NEEDED. IT'S THE Form 8949 that shows the gains and losses which are needed to figure out your taxes! Is their a DUE DATE that this broker must have this information transferrable (not a PDF or CSV) into my Turbo Tax Deluxe form? What can we do to put some pressure on Charles Schwab? I'm just glad my husband was working with me and noticed those numbers were missing!! They should have kept it failing until ALL required data was transferring.
I checked Schwab and it seems they will not have the taxable accounts done until Feb 28th. Just void what you have done in Turbo Tax and try again when Schwab has those trades reported. This is the message I get when I go to account and tax statements at the Schwab site:
Document will be available 02/28/2025
I'll be waiting until then to complete my tax forms.
TurboTax finally imported from Charles Schwab this year without issue, after a few years where it didn't work! Woohoo! Finally. Used H&B on Mac.
