Charles Schwab tax forms not importing in TurboTax

I had the same experience using TurboTax for iMac/iOS - no problems importing 1099’s in prior years but couldn’t  import 2022 1099’s.  After extensive consulting with TurboTax customer service reps, I gave up on TurboTax 2022 for desktop and used 2022 TurboTax on-line, encountering no problems whatsoever importing 1099’s from Fidelity.  I found TurboTax on-line easier to use than the download/desktop version. It apparently is better supported by TurboTax.  Fortunately I was able to get TurboTax on-line version through Fidelity for no cost.  Good luck trying to resolve your issue.

SOLVED: I had the same problem. Closed Turbo Tax. Changed default browser from Brave to Edge. Re-opened TurboTax. Imported as "normal"

I had issues importing Schwab last year, and thought it would've been resolved by now. But still having issues this year. I have a 1099-Composite I want to import. I log into Schwab, accept the "Instruction and Informed Consent to Allow TurboTax to Access Your Account Information", but after tapping "Accept", it takes me back to the login screen with the error "No eligible accounts available to link". Looks like I encountered the same error last year and had to manually enter data. I tried some of the workarounds I saw including switching default browser to Edge. No issues importing from Fidelity. Please advise if this is a TurboTax or Schwab issue.

TurboTax Home & Business for Tax Year 2022.

Am importing 1099-B trades data from three Brokerages:
*  TurboTax with the Brave Browser imports OK from Interactive Brokers
*  TurboTax with the Brave Browser imports OK from TradeStation
*  TurboTax with the Brave Browser does not work with Charles Schwab

  - The invocation of Brave to go to Schwab works OK.  The login to Schwab works OK.
  - In the Brave Browser, I get the message "Success!  We got your tax data.  You can now return to Turbo Tax."
  - However, TurboTax just sits there.  It should proceed to the next screen, the one with the title "These Documents Are Now Ready for Import:" and the "Import Now" button.
  -   Instead it remains stuck at the screen with the words "Click on Continue to start import"

The fix that works for me is to exit TurboTax, then change the default Browser to be Microsoft Edge.  Invoke TurboTax again.  Going through the 1099-B Import process now works with Schwab.  The import also pulls in the 1099-DIV and the 1099-INT info correctly.

For info, my Schwab account had about 290 trades in 2022.  Yeah, I realize that there are some folks who have a lot more.

As a data point, the only other situation that I have run across in which the Brave Browser does not work correctly is the T-Mobile web site.  Brave gives an error message from T-Mobile at logon.  I have to go over to the Edge Browser and use it to pay my cell phone bill.

I'm seeing a similar problem.  I have a huge 1099 from Charles Schwab.  Impossible to manually enter it.  I keep getting a message that I need to enter a keychain password and am prompted with a very long one, that I don't know what it is far.  I'm using an iMac computer running MacOS Big Sur.  I've used Turbo Tax for over 15 years and have downloaded the 1099s from CharlesSchwab each year for the past five years, no problem.  This year something is different.  It also keeps asking for the password and will not give the option to try something else.  It wants to get into my Keychain and I've tried every password I've used in keychain for the past decade.  Locks up my computer and I can't get back past this question.  I had to start a new file in Turbo Tax, as noting was saved.  Started a new file and had the same problem, locks up.  I tried to save the file before I went to that questions to download and it kept asking for the password.      Turbo Tax is really sick tonight!!!  Can someone help.  I"ve tried for an hour to find some help here.  Not available.  Might be cheaper to pay a CPA and forget about Turbo Tax.  I've been a customer for over two decades!

Anyone know how to get past this keychain password nightmare??

Sorry that this is not really helpful but this was my problem as well.  It asked for password, etc. and locked up forcing program shutdown.  I refuse to pay TT for tech help that should not be necessary and probably not helpful.  If they were interested in fixing the problem, they would update the software in the first place.  Rather than spending hours on phone with Schwab and scrolling through these posts, I entered manually.

I tried a different software one year only to find that, despite confirmations, my taxes were not electronically filed.

How did you get to talk with someone at Intuit?  I don't see a number to call for help.  I don't want to pay one of their telephone support people to tell me how to get around this problem.  This is definitely a bug in their program and may even be dangerous as they are asking for the password for my.  I even had trouble downloading a simple 1099-INT from my bank with only Interest on it.  The link suggested to my bank doesn't work.  I think this whole area is broken this year and I see that it was a problem for some last year also. 

I keep getting a message that TurboTax wants access to my keychain.  I keep getting this message, even when I"m not trying to download from Charles Schwab. 

I don't see a support number to call for help.  Can you suggest one?

Since many people are able to import successfully, it can be individual variables affecting the ability to import.  Contacting TurboTax Support where they can actually get into your return is one solution. 

Another is to enter Summary Totals, where you enter one line each for LT/ST totals.

You will be able to Efile, and may just need to mail a copy of your 1099 with Form 8949/8453 later.  Here's more info on Mailing Form 8949 for Summary Totals.

Thanks for the tip.  The first number you sent is an automated robot to download specific forms.  I could not get "her" to understand my problem of not being able to get into Charles Schwab to download my 1099 data.

I received a page full of links, none of which are for this problem.

The second number you gave in your message has been disconnected.

My issue was being unable to import 1099’s from Fidelity to TurboTax (downloaded version) on my iMac, which I had done in prior years without problem. The TurboTax rep to whom I spoke could not resolve the issue other than suggest I use TurboTax online version.  I did so and had no problem importing 1099’s from Fidelity.  Fortunately Fidelity provided access to TurboTax online version at no cost.  I was very pleased with TurboTax online version and will not use TurboTax CD-ROM / download version again.
