Charles Schwab not importing data to TurboTax

Turbo Tax Premier 2024 does not import 1099B correctly from Edward Jones.  I tried and tried but ended up manually entering most of the information myself.  Finally discovered that any transaction that had a various date did not import. Turbo Tax is getting worse and worse. Next year I will probably use a different software. If I have to enter most of the pages of info myself it is not worth the headaches of figuring out what was wrong.

Agreed; this has been SUCH a headache, for so many people. I would hate to switch, but I might, after this. Ugh. I wondered if it was TT all along and not C Schwab.

Thank you so much!!!  I kept going in endless circles until you mentioned disabling the shields!!  After doing that, everything downloaded perfectly!  I did not have this issue last year and never even thought to do it till I came across your post.   Thanks again!!

I am having the same problem this year and had the same problem last year. The message says that the issue is on your end and that you are on it!  Apparently not!!!

I just spent 45 minutes on the phone with a TT support person and was not able to get a resolution. 

It has been over a year and the problem has not been fixed.  I can import from Merrill Lynch with no issues, just not Charles Schwab.  If it won't import from Schwab, then just remove it from the selection list.   At least I won't be so frustrated trying to keep importing thinking that you will eventually fix the issue.

As posted above, did you turn off your anti-virus programs?  Many people successfully import from Schwab after doing this.   

Since we can't know your individual system configuration, it's very difficult to determine why Schwab won't import for you.

Are you running as administrator on C drive? Third party data sharing is enabled in your Schwab account?  Here's how to do a Manual Update.

Remember you can make one entry for your total 1099-DIV/INT amounts, which may actually be easier.

I called Charles Schawb about not getting error importing, two representative said to contact turbotax. I downloaded the 2024 tax but it's only available in pdf. Please help how to import pdf file imported to turbotax. thank you.

I get the message "import successful, you can now return to Turbo Tax" yet the data is not in the Summary or any place else in Turbo Tax desktop.  Clearly this is a program issue and I have been unable to connect with anyone in Turbo Tax support.

While many tax documents arrive by January 31, some brokerages delay consolidated 1099 statements (like 1099-B) until mid-February due to account complexity. If your data isn't ready to import yet, check back in a week or two.

If you are using TurboTax Online, try importing using a different browser. Make sure any VPN or Anvi-Virus is turned off.

Schwab docs are ready.  I received a message from TurboTax that they received my files after going through the import process.  But files do not show in my TT return.  It worked last year.  Not sure what to do.  Where did my files go????  Is this a security concern???

I got an "import unsuccessful" message. Before that, everything went smoothly.

It's impossible for me to key in manually, too many items. When can this problem be fixed?
