2021 Extension and Transfer Tax from 2020?

Hello TurboTax Team:

I use the desktop turbotax business. While doing the year 2021 tax, it ask me to transfer tax info from 2019 but I only use turbo tax business deskstop on 2020.

Transfering tax info from 2020 is much better than starting everything new.

Is it a bug from turbotax desktop that I have to contact turbo tax directly?

What can I do?

Thanks

Dennis

Are you using the same computer that you used when preparing your TT Business 2020 return?  In order for the information to transfer from 2020, that info must first be on the computer you're using.

You DO NOT want to transfer your 2019 information into the 2021 return.

Sounds like you started up the 2020 program if it's asking to transfer from 2019.   Did you buy and install the 2021 program?    Try finding the 2021 Desktop shortcut to click on.

Haven't seen anyone report that.  You didn't answer my question.  Did you install the 2021 program?  You have to buy a new program each year.

@Den9128 I'm sorry, but no.  You'll need the Business software to complete your S-Corp filing.

TurboTax® Business CD/Download 2021-2022 Desktop Software, File Business Taxes (intuit.com)

2021 Extension and Transfer Tax from 2020?

Sorry you will need 2 programs. The Business program and a personal version. For your personal return you can use either the Online Premier or Self Employed Version. The online Self Employed version is for personal returns that need Schedule C for self employment income (not S corp). Or buy any of the Desktop CD/Download programs for Windows or Mac. All the personal Desktop programs have the same forms, you get more help in the higher versions.

You can start an Online return here,

You can buy the personal Desktop CD/Download program now here,

I have these links......

How to import from Quickbooks into Windows Business program,

https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/entering-importing/help/how-do-i-import-quickbooks-data-into-turbo...

QuickBooks Online data must first be exported to QuickBooks Desktop before it can be imported into TurboTax Business. Refer to QuickBooks Online support for help (also see the export limitations).

2021 Extension and Transfer Tax from 2020?

Can you export QuickBooks Online to the trial QuickBooks  Desktop program?  Importing data from QBO to TurboTax can be done by converting the data to QuickBooks Desktop. You need to download a trial version of the program to start the export and import process using Internet Explorer.

Please see this information found on the Quickbooks website answered by a Quickbooks employee, you can transfer by using their trial version: Quickbooks Transfer
