    It depends.

When you completed your tax return and filed it, did you indicate you did not receive either of the first 2 stimulus payments?

If so, you should see an amount on Form 1040, Line 30 for the Recovery Rebate Credit.

If you do not see anything on Line 30 and you did not receive either the first or second stimulus payments, you will need to amend your return to indicate this and claim the Recovery Rebate Credit.

    How to amend my return?

It says 1800 on line 30 and on TurboTax it says Federal refund 1800 but I filled Feb 10th  and already received my federal tax it was 947 so I do I get the 1800?

No. If your total federal refund was $2,747 and you only received $947, then then the IRS removed the $1,800 Recovery Rebate Credit from your return and continued to process the rest of your refund. The Recovery Rebate credit will not be sent separately.

If you did not get your first or second stimulus, and the IRS disqualified you from receiving the Recovery Rebate Credit, then please review the qualifications below.

    To qualify, you must:

    • Be a US citizen or resident alien.
    • Not be claimed as a dependent on someone else's tax return.
    • Have an 2020 Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) up to $75,000 for individuals and up to $150,000 for married couples filing joint. If your AGI is above this amount, your payment will be reduced.

The IRS will sent you a notice shortly on the reason they disqualified you for the Recovery Rebate Credit. At that point, you can contact the IRS if you disagree with the information provided.

Please see the IRS page 2020 Recovery Rebate Credit — Topic G: Correcting issues after the 2020 tax return is filed for more information.

@Michael531 When you filed your 2020 tax return you were asked how much of the 1st and 2nd round stimulus payments you received. You should have indicated that you didn't receive them, in which case they would appear on line 30 of your form 1040 as a recovery rebate credit, and as such they would be included in your refund.

If this didn't happen, you will need to amend your tax return to correct things. You will see an option for this when you log into TurboTax, on your home page.
