If you purchased TurboTax from Sam's Club and purchased a digital copy only, your license code should be included in your order confirmation email from Sam's. Check your email or your order history in your Sam's Club account. If it’s not there, you’ll need to contact Sam's Club directly. If you are unable to locate the software from a prior year, please follow the instructions here to contact customer support. 

This will allow them to push the download to your account of the software if purchased from Turbo Tax.

I have tried everything I know and still cannot bring up my 2020 tax return. I know I filed with turbo tax because I received a tax return from the feds last year. My 2020 return keeps wanting to bring up my daughters return. How do I get my 2020 tax return?

If you were using the TurboTax online editions, filed your tax return and then entered your daughter's tax data then you overwrote your tax data and it is gone.

The TurboTax online editions are only for one tax return per account and User ID.

@19airops6264  Did you use the Online version or the Desktop program?  

If you used Online you may have done her return in your account so it overwrote your return.  Online is only good for 1 return per account.  It's common to end up with multiple accounts. First LOG OUT of whatever TurboTax account you're logged into right now. Then use this TurboTax account recovery website to get a list of user ID's for an email address. Run the tool against any email addresses you may have used

If you used the Desktop program it might have saved her return with the same file name as yours which would overwrite your return too.  Especially if she has the same first name or initials as you.

You need your 2020 AGI to efile 2021. The AGI is on 2020 1040 line 11. If you filed a Joint return you use the same AGI for each spouse.

If you didn't file 2020 or filed it later in the year or mailed it, then try entering 0 for the AGI. If that doesn't work you will have to print and mail your return.

What are you trying to download?    Did you recently purchase 2020 desktop software from TurboTax and want to know how to retrieve your software purchase?

Or are you referring to a 2020 return you prepared last year in Online TurboTax and want to download a copy of the 2020 return?
