I don't want premium service benefits. How do I get rid of IT?

I am still confused and I don't know how to get rid of the Premium Service Benefit?

If you want to remove Premium Services, you need to do so before using any of the features and before you complete your order (but you don’t need to clear and start over).

Here’s how to delete Premium Services from your order:

1. Open or continue your return.
2. Select File in the left-hand menu.
3. On the Well done screen, select Continue.
4. Select Start next to Step 1 - Review your order.
   • If you don't see this, select Revisit next to You've chosen to deduct your TurboTax fees…
5. When you get to your order summary, select Remove at the bottom of the Premium Services benefits section.
6. Make sure to select Pay with credit card when we ask how you want to pay, since you'll no longer be able to deduct the cost from your refund.

By removing Premium Services, you cancel your 1-year subscription to Audit Defense, Full Identity Restoration, Identity Theft Monitoring, Identity Loss Insurance, and you will no longer have access to Priority Care. These benefits can't be purchased separately.

same!!! There is no button that says "remove". I didn't even use any of the premium services

@jellonor Premium services includes having your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund instead of paying for the software upfront using a credit or debit card before you file.   You can remove Premium services---but then you have to pay before you file.

If your TurboTax fees are higher than expected, you can reduce them by removing add-ons:

• Remove Premium Services
• Remove MAX Defend & Restore
• Remove a state
• Remove PLUS Help & Support
• Remove Pay With Your Refund

If having Premium covers being able to pay with my refund, why is there an additional $40 charge at the end for the same exact thing? 🤨 People are being double charged for a service! Sounds like another class action suit to me!

@JMill87 Premium services are offered to users in the state of CA who want to pay their fees by having them deducted from their federal refund.   Users in other states who want to pay from their federal refund simply use "Pay with Refund"----you cannot choose both and pay double.

Or...are you confused by the name of the online software which is also called Premium?    The software called Premium does NOT include having your fee deducted from your refund.

To see your fees, click on Tax Tools on the left side of the screen. Then click on Tools. You will see My Fees in the center of the screen.
