To access your current or prior year tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the userID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/
Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and on the section Your tax returns & documents click on Show. Click on the Year and Click on View adjusted gross income (AGI)
Or go to this IRS website for free federal tax return transcripts - https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript
If your tax return continues to be rejected with the 2018 AGI then enter a 0 (zero) for the AGI and e-file again.
If this is also rejected then you will have to print and mail the tax return.
See this TurboTax support FAQ for printing a tax return for mailing - https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/printing/help/how-do-i-print-and-mail-my-return-in-turbotax-online...
Will this cost 1 e-file?
There is no extra cost for a rejected return. IND-031-04 means you have entered an incorrect Adjusted Gross Income from your 2018 tax return. You will need to correct it or mail your tax return in.
The IRS requires that your Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) from your tax return from the previous year be included with any tax return e-filed this year.
You can find your 2018 AGI on Line 7 of your Form 1040.
If you had filed with TurboTax last year, the AGI would have been automatically added to the return. If you did not file with TurboTax last year (or if you filed in a different TurboTax account), you will need to enter the AGI from last year manually. The AGI is added near the end of the filing process, just before filing the return.
To find the AGI from a different TurboTax account, sign in to that account, then scroll down on the opening page until you get to Your Tax Returns and Documents. Chose 2018 and download your tax return.
If your previous year tax returns are not available, you can use the IRS Get Transcript tool. Try the online option first. If you are unable to obtain the transcript online, you can have one sent to the address the IRS has on record for you. You can find IRS Get Transcript here.
My AGI filled out by the senior center for 2018 was from Box 5 on Form SSA-1099. That amount was $12,996.00 and my Medicare was $1,608. My 2018 PIN from Mountain View Senior Center was 10878 on Form 8879. Today for the stimulus refund, Turbo Tax stated to fill in any number for a PIN, so I did that. It would make more sense to tell seniors to use 2018's PIN which is 10878 (since I hadn't done a 2019 tax refund as my income is so low and I was just filing for the stimulus). Anyway, my 2019 Form SSA-1088 lists Box 5 as $13,362 net benefits inclusive of $1,636 for Medicare Part B.
Your AGI is not on the SSA-1040, it was on line 7 on your 2018 1040. This is not usually the same as your SSA-1099 because you have to add in interest and dividends and everything else here.
It sounds like you now know to use the 2018 PIN. As you can imagine, this stimulus filing process has been hastily thrown together and may not be perfect.. I will pass your comment along.
I have an SSA-1099 form for 2019. I know it doesn't have the AGI on it. But at the sr. center last year, the tax preparer entered "1" on line 7 of my 1040 Tax form. Is that my AGI? And how can I Fix My Error on my current submission. I don't see that link when I log in. You know when I was young, I used to write code and then worked as an IT Technical Writer. I worked right next to Intuit. Anyway, people do appreciate the patched-together website; it's better than nothing. Finally, this might be unfixable, so can I just do nothing and let the govt. just work from my 2018 1040 Form and get the paper check in 5 months? Or must I send in a printed stimulus submission, which the website won't do either. Keep on keeping on, what an experience, LOL, Cher
@Sr_Stimulus_2019 Since you received a Form SSA-1099 the the IRS already has your direct deposit information for the stimulus.
If you receive Social Security benefits, see this US Treasury website - https://home.treasury.gov/news/press-releases/sm967
How do I correct error code IND 031 04 on Intuit Turbotax? I know my 2022 AGI. but don't know what to do with it concerning my 2023 tax refusing to file.
Try entering 0 for the AGI. The IRS might have processed your return later so the AGI didn't get entered in time. Especially if you mailed it. That works for most people. See,

If you can’t get it to efile you will have to print and mail it.

Be sure to attach copies of your W2s and any 1099s that have withholding on them. You have to mail federal and state in separate envelopes because they go to different places. Get a tracking number from the post office when you mail them for proof of filing.
