If you already submitted the return you won't be able to make any changes. You have to wait until the IRS either accepts or rejects the return.
If the IRS rejects the return, you can correct and re-submit the return.
If the IRS accepts the return, you have to amend it to make the correction.
To amend your 2020 return:
1.Log in to your account.
2.Scroll down to Your tax return & documents (you may need to select Show),
select 2020 and then Amend (change) return.
3.Select Amend using TurboTax Online.
4 Follow the instructions. Don't worry if your refund changes to $0. This is normal on amended returns.
5.You can e-file your 2020 amended federal tax return, but most states require amendments to be printed and filed by mail.

So when does the "Amend" option show up for 2020? It has been accepted, but still not there. Only 2019 and earlier.
You need to wait until the IRS has accepted and fully processed your tax return to file an amended return.
I elected to print my return, it is not being efiled.
I noticed some changes that need to be made on schedule D, was in the middle of making them, and stepped away for a minute and my session timed out. Now I get a message about waiting to amend the return.
I don't need to amend, I need to make some changes and reprint the documents. How can I get into edit the forms and then reprint them?
Even though you are going to print and mail your return, please follow the directions for How do I change from mail to e-file in TurboTax Online? to re-enter into your account, make your changes and then click reprint.
I CAN'T UPLOAD MY RETURN; THE PDF I SAVED FROM THE SITE HAS SOME KIND OF BLOCK ON IT AND I CANNOT PRINT IT. WTF, I PAID; I FILED; YOU SENT ME A CONFIRMATION. THIS IS REALLY BAD; ONE ANGRY CUSTOMER RIGHT NOW AND NO ONE TO CALL TONIGHT. SHAME ON YOU INTUIT!

Yeah, get another tax software program, I did two returns last year and both had to be mailed in paper form. DO NOT BUY Turbo Tax again
