Married Filing Jointly asking for 2019 (individual) AGI to e-file
My husband and I have been filing jointly for twenty-nine years now. When I went to e-file it asked me for the AGI, but it is asking for the AGI for my husband, AND the AGI for me. We entered last year's AGI for both us and our return got rejected. What am I missing?

Yes you use the same AGI for each of you. When did you file 2019? If it was late in the year or you mailed it, try putting in zero for the AGI. And see, https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/rejections/help/what-if-i-entered-the-correct-agi-and-i-m-still-ge...

If you can’t get it to efile you will have to print and mail it.

Be sure to attach copies of your W2s and any 1099s that have withholding on them. You have to mail federal and state in separate envelopes because they go to different places. Get a tracking number from the post office when you mail them for proof of filing.
For AGI Reject code 031

Our e-filing of 2020 tax returns is being rejected twice because it says my husband's AGI for 2019 is not correct. We are getting code IND-032-04 "SpousePriorYearPIN" or "SpousePriorYearAGIAmt" in the Return Header must match the e-File database.
My husband and I filed our 2019 returns as Married Filing Jointly so our AGI's were the same for each of us. However, now our 2020 e-filings are being rejected even though we have double checked and have entered my husband's AGI for 2019 from Line 8b on our 2019 Form 1040-SR which we prepared using TurboTax.
I (Les Young) do have a Identity Protection Personal Identification Number which we entered in the appropriate space on the Form 1040-SR. My husband (Michael Amaro) does not and has never had a PIN.
Helpl!
Please review this FAQ @Les Young.
