The discount in question is offered through several member sites like ID.me and oneInterior perks and is for veterans or government employees, etc. They provided the link to connect to TurboTax and stated that the discount would be applied when the payment was made and the taxes filed, which I did, but no discount was applied. I asked the specialist that I spoke with on Sunday and she said to use the Self Service Portal. Well, where is the Self Service Portal? Useless runaround is all I am getting now. In any case, I need to know who to contact and what needs to be submitted so I get the 20% discount refunded to my credit card. Thank you.

Where did you find the offer? Do you have a link? Typically, promotional offers have to be accessed from the link given and the terms and conditions usually require a new TurboTax account.
Hi DawnC,
Thank you.
The first is the link to the TurboTax page on the oneInterior Perks at Work site:
The following is copied from the offer page identified above and specifically states that a new account is not required:
How to redeem:
The second is the link embedded in the "Shop Now" button on the above page:
https://www.perksatwork.com/goshop/index/offerId/808777/uSource/PSRV2
Third - Clicking the "Shop Now" button activates the deal and redirects you to the following TurboTax page:
The offer is plain to see on the TurboTax landing page using the above link. And, I did "...click back through the "Shop Now" link from Perks at Work", but nothing changed on the price page. I had little choice but to move forward and pay as the price of Turbo Tax Online was raised the following day. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

I did and they told me to go to the website, access the Self-Service Portal and provide the information I just did here. I was never able to find anything marked "Self-Service Portal" so I tried asking the bot and it told me the best way to contact customer service was to use the request that they call me approach. I did that - twice - and what happened is a bot called me and told me to call customer service, never had a person call me back. So, I gave up and came to the Community to see if there was any help to be had there. I really need to be able to submit the detailed info I have provided in the Community, but cannot find where that may be done and transmitted to Customer Service. Any ideas?
Problem remains unresolved. It seems the Community is unable to provide a useful answer either.
I am having a similar issue, I received a 20% discount email yesterday, it specifically says in the body “Instead of paying $139 you pay just $112” as well as some other stuff about the deadline being around the corner. There’s even a picture showing that I’m 93% complete with filing. I clicked on the “Save 20% NOW” link which prompted me to sign into my account and finish filing. The discount was not applied and it charged me the full amount, already showing up on my bank statement. It is misleading to send an email like that and not honor it especially as there were no stipulations listed, and yes, I read the fine print which only really included “save 20% when you file between Dec 1st and April 15th”. The live specialist couldn’t help me so what am I even paying for? It’s very frustrating
I have the same issue also. TurboTax sent me an email offering 20% off after I started my return but prior to filing. When I clicked the link in the email, I was taken to the regular payment screen, where no discount was provided. I tried for about 30 minutes to get it to work, and then, frustrated, just gave up and paid the goddamn full fee. TurboTax is ridiculous.
The offers are coming by email, but when you click the link in the email to claim the 20% off offer, the discount is not applied. Frustrated, I ended up paying full price. I will not use TurboTax again. It is buggy, confusing, and dishonest.

It looks like it is time for all of us who have been robbed by TurboTax to take to Social Media - I'm sure we all have a membership or two we can use sitting out there. The TurboTax so called "Employee Tax Experts" keep referring me back to the circular process I have already wasted too much time on. They persist in telling me to call customer service and when the system allows me to get through, they refer me to the mythical online customer service portal that no one can find. Another option would be to simply contest the full price credit card charge with our credit card companies - that would get their attention - they would have to talk to us to clear up the issue.
Was anyone able to get the discount? I've tried clicking through the email couple times with no luck.
Please see this help article - How do I get my TurboTax affiliate partner discount? @ejames17
Not that I am aware of - and the Employee Tax Experts continue to spout various reasons why it is my/our fault. This time saying we need to delete cookies, effectively, we need to clear our browser cache. Unfortunately for them, I did all this. Then they say "Note: Our specialists are unable to apply or issue refunds for affiliate discounts if the return was prepared at the regular TurboTax.com site." and that I did something wrong by not starting from the partner site! Well, I did all this the right way and in fact, received an email from the partner site confirming the process and saying they were just waiting on confirmation from TurboTax. TurboTax is running a tiered scam here and has set it up so no one can get through to anyone who can do anything to resolve the issue. Apparently, our only recourse is to contact our credit card companies and dispute the charges. Only then will TurboTax have to listen in order to resolve the issues.
