I have the download (not online) version of TurboTax and if I check there through the app it says E-File status is "Accepted". If I go online to my account I don't see anywhere to check that status. And when I filed I got a confirmation email from TurboTax saying my return was accepted. But should I have also gotten some kind of email from the IRS confirming receipt and/or acceptance of the return? I've searched back through my email and can't find anything. So I'm left a little in doubt because there's nothing I can point to from the IRS even confirming I ever filed.
The IRS does not send receipts of any kind for receiving a tax return. The IRS only communicates with taxpayers by mail, the do not email or phone taxpayers.
When the e-filed tax return is received by the IRS then you receive an email from TurboTax notifying you that the tax return has been Accepted. Along with the notification in the desktop program for the Electronic Filing Status.
If you had a tax refund on the federal tax return then check the status of the return using the IRS website - https://www.irs.gov/refunds
If you had taxes owed and you paid the taxes then you will have proof of payment from your bank account or credit card statement, depending on how the taxes owed were paid. Or a confirmation number from the IRS if you used the IRS payment website to pay the taxes owed - https://www.irs.gov/payments
You should try again in about two weeks.
If you filed your tax return electronically, the IRS's return processing takes from 2 to 4 weeks before a transcript becomes available. If you mailed your tax return, it takes about 6 weeks. If you didn’t pay all the tax you owe, your transcript may not be available until mid-May or a week after you pay the full amount owed.
Does your portal actually say your return is being processed? I efiled 4-15-20 and got an IRS accepted email from Turbo Tax but my 2020 transcript field says NA. Does yours say that?
I efiled 4-15-20 and still haven't paid 6/3/20 and my 2020 transcript field says NA. Is that normal?
I have the exact same situation. Filed in April, got an "IRS Accepted" from TurboTax, IRS status says "Processing" and transcript status is N/A and says "No return filed'. What's going on here?
@SteveCRV7 Federal refunds are taking much longer than normal for many people. The IRS may still be processing your return. If your e-file status says it has been accepted, and the IRS refund site says your return is being processed, then you have to wait for the return to be processed. It may take much longer before you see a transcript.
Waiting is frustrating—refunds are taking longer in many cases. These are not normal times. It is not possible for TurboTax to speed up the IRS for you. The IRS is short staffed; and they are processing millions of tax returns at the same time that they have been burdened with the task of processing millions of stimulus checks.
To check on regular tax refund status via automated phone, call 800-829-1954. (This line has no information on Economic Impact Payments.)

TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer. Many refunds are taking longer during the pandemic.
Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control. TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.
You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 20 of your Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing.

I efiled and accepted on Jan 31 2019
That would be for your 2018 tax return. Are you trying to obtain a transcript for your 2018 tax return? There's no way possible you e-filed a 2019 tax return before Jan 14, 2020. And you most certainly did not file your 2019 tax return in 2019.
Maybe during normal times but not Covid. The IRS has had my returns since October 14, 2020, I even received a letter from IRS in December 2020 asking for health insurance form to finish processing my returns. LOL.. it's April 2021 and still NO 2019 transcripts available. Holds up all funding options except for a cardboard sign on the street.
