Well, this problem is happening again for this 2022 tax year reporting, though a bit different issue. When I manage to log into e*Trade via the TurboTax stock transaction income section, I get a "no files found for this account" error message. It's the same account that TurboTax has remembered from prior years, and e*Trade has announced that tax forms are now available for 2022 tax year. I can download them directly from e*Trade, but again that means manually typing in the data into TurboTax.
I don't know if the problem is on e*Trade's end or with TurboTax, but it defeats the much of the purpose of using the software (on-line version for me) to begin with. Waiting for some resolution...
Same problem reported by @thomasfrank , for the desktop version as of 5 PM EST 2/15/2023. E*Trade claims it is a TurboTax issue, and I believe them since I can see the consolidated forms within E*Trade.
This really sucks given I also did options trading.
It is ridiculous for TT to say that we must print out forms and manually send them to the IRS. Time to make the switch to other (less expensive!) programs?
@CarissaM / @MarilynG /TurboTax --- please fix this quickly to keep a long term customer.
I just got this email reply from e*Trade regarding my inquiry about TurboTax showing "no forms available for this account" when trying to download my 1099 forms from e^Trade:
So.... it appears TurboTax is NOT at fault this time! e*Trade should have posted their delay and new date for their forms to be available from Feb. 15 to Feb. 18 on their web site! For online users and filers, at least we can use the fall back process to only manually enter the long and short term trade totals into TurboTax on-line forms (including options trades which I do), and email e*Trade's 1099-B hard copy (.pdf file) records of the individual trades to Turbo Tax and they will attach and send that file with our e-filed return so we don't have to manually type them all in. But hopefully that won't be necessary once Feb. 18 gets here.
The issue has been resolved.

Hello,
Tried to import 1099-B from Fidelity and got the following message, " This 1099-B import was unsuccessful. Follow the steps in this article to fix this. I have not run into this issue with Turbo tax before.
Don't want to enter all these data by hand.

Which Turbo Tax software are you using, desktop or online? @thienhngo
I bought the Turbotax CD from Costco.

This is a problem with Turbo Tax premier and is for multiple brokerages.
It works on the free version, but not the paid for version.
Does anyone know if H & R Block does this correctly? I'm happy to dump Turbotax for something that works.
The same issue is happening again for 2023. Turbotax, this is the last year I'll buy your terrible software.
Turbotax, acknowledge this bug, what the hell?
I was having the same kind of problems, and finally solved it by setting up Edge as default browser. The system did not like Brave.
Turbotax 2024 is not importing 1099 data for the desktop version running on my Mac with Sonoma 14.6.1. It imports the data to my Intuit account and there it sits. No interface to Turbotax. The data is in scripted format and appears ready for import but if I download it from Intuit it puts it into a PDF file. There is still the File Import function for TXF files but the downloaded file is a PDF. This is almost mid March, when will Turbotax be fixed.
