Deductions & credits

I just got this email reply from e*Trade regarding my inquiry about TurboTax showing "no forms available for this account" when trying to download my 1099 forms from e^Trade:

  • E*TRADE:
    (02/15/2023 04:51 PM) (Ref No.: 10257607)
    Dear TOM FRANK,
  •
  • This message is regarding Turbo Tax processes.
  • Unfortunately, the system processes has taken a little longer than expected. The target date for forms to be available for download is February 18, 2023.
  •
  • We apologize for the inconvenience.

So.... it appears TurboTax is NOT at fault this time!  e*Trade should have posted their delay and new date for their forms to be available from Feb. 15 to Feb. 18 on their web site!  For online users and filers, at least we can use the fall back process to only manually enter the long and short term trade totals into TurboTax on-line forms (including options trades which I do), and email e*Trade's 1099-B hard copy (.pdf file) records of the individual trades to Turbo Tax and they will attach and send that file with our e-filed return so we don't have to manually type them all in.  But hopefully that won't be necessary once Feb. 18 gets here.
