I have TurboTax Premier, but I cannot seem to get to the page you are referring to -- especially the one with the selections allowing one to choose "Second home" and "How did you receive this investment?" (inherited). It simply jumps to a screen for Brokerage investments. I have tried getting there via the the Q&A path, via searching & jumping to "investment sales, etc. ... still can't get to the "second home" page referenced. Any ideas?
Are you using TurboTax Online or TurboTax CD/Download? The screens are different. If you are not seeing the options described, you are probably using CD/Download.
Here’s what to do:
I use the download option. Thanks very much for your reply -- very helpful & exactly what I needed!
TurboxTax Premier 2024 version 1/17/2024
I can not find where I can enter information for my second home sale. It was an inherited home.
I can not get/find the search box under Federal Taxes - Deductions & Credits to enter "sale of second home"
Thank you for your help in advance.

The sale of the second home is entered in the Investment income section of the TurboTax program -
To enter an investment sale other than from a brokerage account (1099-B), follow the steps below.
Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)
Click on Wages and Income (Personal Income using Home and Business)
Click on I'll choose what I work on (if shown)
Under Investment Income
On Stocks, Cryptocurrency, Mutual Funds, Bonds, Other, click the start or update button
Or enter investment sales in the Search box located in the upper right of the program screen. Click on Jump to investment sales
Using the desktop editions -
On the next screen click on Yes
On the next screen click on Skip import
On the next screen, select Other and continue
Using the online editions -
On the next screen click on Yes
On the next screen, click on Enter a different way
On the next screen, click on Other and continue
