My turbotax software says that you will charge me $20 plus tax for state efile but your website says they are charging me $25 plus tax. Did you just steal $5 from me?!?

Those fees increased on March 1, along with the increased fees in online software.
Please visit our website Turbotax.com. Click on the blue hyperlink that says 1 state download. State e-file additional located under the product you selected. This will provide the cost of of the state and e-filing. You can also refer to the attached image.
Every March the early prices expire and increase. In the Desktop CD/Download program the State Efile fee is $20 but increases to 25.
But there will be a delay in Desktop program between March 1 when the price goes up and the next time the program update comes out, usually on Thursdays. It will show the $20 efile price but you be charged 25.
After state return never filing I went to state site & filed just fine...and no filing fee!
Yes they are stealing the extra $5 from you and the rest of us. I couldn't E-File before March 1 because TurboTax didn't have Form 1116 (Foreign Tax Credit), even though Form 1116 has been available from the IRS for a month. I waited until March 3 for the TurboTax update which included the necessary Form 1116. Surprise! The price goes up on March 1. This is shameful on Intuit's part, though sadly continues a long-standing trend.
I purchased state efile. I downloaded it and then went back to turbo tax to try and e-file, but it is telling me that
"The Following return cannot be filed electronically" I am in the state of Kentucky. could you help me with this. Thanks Mark
@marksandbach2 We cannot see your account or return in this public forum to be able to give a specific answer to your question. You should have an explanation why the return cannot file. If you attempt to resolve the e-file diagnostic and for some reason cannot, you can mail in the return.
If you need someone who can do a screen share to look at the issue specifically, please call in this experience to our phone customer support service by using the instructions in the following link: How do I contact TurboTax?
I could have E-filed before March 1 and saved $5. You did not notify me of any price increase.
Would you please credit me with the $5.
No one in the user forum can resolve a billing issue. If you have a question about your TurboTax fees or billing, make sure you use the word “billing” in your request for help. Do not use the word “refund.”

They stole $5 from me too.
They update the software, could have easily disclosed the $25 fee, but instead they say $20. Can't trust them.
@Beachfan11 The state e-file fee increases from $20 to $25 after March 1. Avoid the state e-file fee by printing and mailing the state return instead when you use the desktop software.
