I found out through the help center phone number that as of January 1st 2022 Tennessee does not have to file a State Tax Form. Thanks for all the help.

I found out that Tennesseans do not have to file state income tax anymore.

Correct, Tennessee does not have a state income tax.

I am having this same issue with TurboTax 2022. The TTCleanStates.exe pointed to is for TurboTax 2022. Can you send me a link to the TurboTax 2022 version.

It's not clear as to exactly what you are trying to do.  (or why you are trying to use that particular .exe file)

If you have "Desktop" TTX 2022 installed already, the vast majority of most states tax forms will not be available for download until mid-late January of 2023.   (there might be occasional exceptions, but TTX hasn't even posted their 2022 state list yet, and I don't expect they will until....maybe...later in December of 2022...or January 2023)

What happened was that Desktop TTX 2022 showed that the CA state down would be available on 11/17.  It actually let me try to download it. Maybe prematurely for sure. Now it is stuck in the state download loop. The CleanStates executable is supposed to fix that. 

But the Federal still works...

I know, that any version of TT downloaded before January, the early releases are useful for end of year tax planning only.

Today TT updated and like magic the "preliminary" state return appeared.

It is NOT an IRS problem it is TurboTax and no one seems to be able to fix the problem.  Have been on the phone with 4 techs still not working.

I am having same issue in TT Desktop 2022. State of CA download is not working. I am using Macbook. 

TY21_StateClean_Tool only works for windows. Need solution for Mac ASAP.

The TT 2022 software installed on MAC successfully and I am able to complete the federal return. But not able to add state of CA. In "Here are the states you've downloaded", it shows California. When I check the box next to California, "Download Now" button activates. After I click download now, the pop up goes away, but nothing happens and I still don't see California in TT.

The links provided in earlier response do not address this specific issue.
