My 2022 Tax Return Information is not located anywhere on my account. I have 2x accounts and checked both of them. I was able to finish and file my return this year by getting an IRS transcript, but I filed with TurboTax last year and have been using TurboTax for about 5 years now with no issues. I want to figure out why last year's data disappeared for me.
I know I used TT because, I bought the full suite of services that's supposed to have live help assist. The live assistance proved to be completely USELESS because they couldn't answer any of my questions. This bad experience left a bad impression on me and now this year, I couldn't reference anything from last year because my documents were nowhere to be found.
I won't be using TT next year after this fiasco.
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
You have to access your own account and/or print it for yourself using exactly the same account and user ID that you used when you prepared the return.
Start a 2023 return online and enter some personal information so that the menu on the left opens up and lets you access your past year returns.
Many people have multiple TT accounts and forget how to access them. Log out of the account you are in now.

Or did you use the desktop version of TurboTax? If so, the files are on your own hard drive or any backup device you used like a flash drive.

You can get a free transcript from the IRS or for a fee of $43, an actual copy of your tax return.

Folks not understanding how to see their prior year tax returns......is why we encourage everyone to download their tax return as a PDF file to their own computer....EVERY YEAR after their file has been filed, and accepted.
Then you always have a copy...........as long as you back the file up off-computer, and/or make a printed copy to file away.
