Why am I unable to import from Chase Bank/Investments?
I am using TT Deluxe to import my 1099b from JPMorgan Securities. The instructions are to obtain an Identity Code by clicking ‘Get Your Identity Code’ at the end of the instructions. There is no clickable area. Anyone else have this breakdown?
Completely unacceptable that these issues exist for both Schwab and Chase during prime tax filing season. Don't lobby against tax filing reform if you can't provide a functional alternative, Intuit.
There is a known issue with this. Here is an article.
@MichelleLO the link included in your message takes me to a page that says the issue is marked as Solved. It is not solved. I had this problem last night and this morning. And I've installed all updates, to date.
Same problem, same issue for days in a row now. This is unbelievable so let’s get to it Intuit!
Solved just means it has been posted in the FAQ section. It does seem weird they mark those solved.
An employee just posted this........

Anyone having difficulty importing 1099 from JPMorgan Securities? The TurboTax Deluxe app instructs me to click on the 'Get Your Identity Code' link to open another verification page courtesy of JPM. The 'Get Your Identity Code' link is not functioning. No forward progress! Has anyone else seen this?

I'm having trouble getting anything to import. Couldn't get W-2's or anything from my financial institution or brokers to import. And yes they are on the list.
If you are having trouble importing it then just enter it manually. Should be faster and easier to just enter it. The first screen asks for the bank name or EIN, don't enter anything. Scroll down and click on Change the way I enter it and then on the next screen pick I'll type it in myself.
Volvo Girl, thank you for your response and recommendations to enter the 1099 manually. That’s great for a few pages. I have 60plus pages of 1099s which demands import, not manual workaround. Please elevate this serious software service issue to your management. The software writers need to remedy this glitch. Otherwise, TurboTax is essentially useless.
I entered the w2's and the small stuff manually. When you have a huge portfolio with a broker, it is not faster to enter manually. Turbo Tax has a glitch and it needs to be fixed.
Yes, I have several 1099's as well. Not so easy to enter manually. This needs to be fixed pronto.
