Can I use TurboTax Deluxe to report rental income?

Hi, Can I use TurboTax Deluxe to report rental income if I don't have any expenses to report? Thank you!

Probably not,  

• If you're using the TurboTax Online you will need the Premier version.
• You may be able to use Desktop Deluxe, but you should be familiar with accounting practices.
• For ease of use and accuracy, we recommend TurboTax Premier for both Online and Desktop.

In Online Premier is now Premium.  Premium replaced both Premier and the Self Employed version.

Thank you. I actually bought the Deluxe CD. Just want to know if I can use it or if I have wasted my money.

Yes the Desktop CD Deluxe will work.  All the Desktop programs have the same forms.  You just get more help in the higher versions.

You should use the download method of installing instead of using the CD. It will be easier to install on another computer.

My question is whether I can use the TurboTax Deluxe CD to report my rental income where there are no expenses to report? I know how to use the online version and the CD version.

Deluxe is not a good option for taxpayers who have complicated investment income, rental income or who are self-employed in some capacity. It does not include the forms for these two categories of taxpayers.
