if you filed late (past 10/15/2023), it needed to be mailed. It will never show as received because the IRS does not acknowledge mailed returns that it receives.

@smyers0402 You make the selection where you entered the 1099-R in the Federal section. GO back there and edit that 1099-R until you get to this page: (older picture..might have changed a bit)...

Hi: This is for the 2026 Tax Year, but similar question with slightly different scenario. What if I paid full marketplace insurance premiums for 9 of the 12 months without a tax credit (since I didn't qualify)? I received a 1095-A with $0 in Column B-Monthly second lowest cost silver plan (SLCSP) premium and C- Monthly advancement payment of premium tax credit. Should I just enter the full monthly enrollment premium (Column A) for Column B and $0 for Column C on Turbo Tax), since that's what I paid (for Column B)?

Yes, that is correct and state by our tax expert @Vanessa A. If you have your pay stubs and a reliable record to arrive at the total allowable tips you can take the deduction even if your employer did not report them on your W-2.
In order to claim tips, the following must apply:
The tips MUST be reported. If they are not reported on a form to the IRS you cannot claim them for the no tax on tips deduction.
If employed they need to be reported on your W-2 or form 4137
If self-employed, they must be reported on a 1099. If you received them as cash, they are not deductible.
Your income must be below $150,000 if you are single or less than $300,000 if Married Filing Jointly. Above these amounts, the deduction starts to fade out and is not available at all for those with income over $400,000 for single and $550,000 for Married Filing Jointly.
You can not claim this deduction if you are Married Filing Separately
You receive tips from an occupation that normally and customarily receives tips
The Tips deduction question applies to both TurboTax Desktop and TurboTax Online.
After you complete the W-2 information you will reach a screen:
'Let's check for other situations', select the checkbox next to 'Tips not reported on my W-2'.
Once this is completed TurboTax will walk you through the remaining questions about your tips.
The next screen is 'Now let's enter your unreported tips'.
What's the new tax law for for tips?
No Tax On Tips: How it Works in the One Big Beautiful Bill
From the left rail menu in TurboTax Online, select Tax Tools (You may have to scroll down on the left rail menu.)
Select Tax Tools
On the drop-down select Tools
On the pop-up menu titled “Tools Center”, select View Tax Summary
On the left sidebar, select Preview my 1040
For TurboTax Desktop, change to 'Forms' and review the forms
The deduction is reported on Schedule A-1 (new for 2025).

The screen just goes gray, like there is a pop-up, but no pop-up can be found.

I am trying to complete the "Tell us about the refund you received in 2025" portion and feel completely stuck. I do not have access to any tax documents from 2021 at this point, so I do not know what my payments and withholdings would have been. I have only ever worked or filed taxes in Louisiana, I know the amount of the refund, I'm just unsure about the payments and withholdings--if any of this helps/is relevant. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

If the letter cannot be located, taxpayers should check their IRS online account or call the Taxpayer Protection Program (TPP) phone line at 800-830-5084. (If a taxpayer lives outside the U.S., they should call 267-941-1000.) Taxpayers who receive a letter asking them to authenticate their identity and return information online, can go into their online account, which will tell them they need to verify information on their tax return before it can be processed. This will direct the taxpayer to the Identity and Tax Return Verification Service website.

No one can call you from the user forum. Your post is vague. Did you file by mail but forget to sign the tax form? If you did not sign the Form 1040, you need to go the line near the bottom of page 2 that says Sign Here and sign it and date it in ink, and mail it back to the IRS.

When it asks, "did you trade in a vehicle to purchase this one?" I answered yes - but that was done years ago. Are they referring to 2025? Could that be the problem?
