@emmahuwig Your SSN went into the system when your parent claimed you as a dependent. Your return was rejected because you answered incorrectly in MY INFO when it asked if you can be claimed as someone else's dependent. Go back in to MY INFO, click your name and get back to the question that asks if you can be claimed. Correct your answer and try to re-file.

I am going to retire soon. My husband is still working. I did the IRS estimated tax refund calculator online and it gives a gross income then notes payroll/standard deductions and then gives a taxable income. The gross income includes my partial year income, his yearly income and interest/capital gains/dividends (projected for this year). What goes in Box 2bi on the W4p? The gross income or the taxable income? Or just the gross income from jobs and then the interest/capital gains/dividends goes in 4a? From what I understand my new annuity will not be projected on this since I haven't receive it yet.

Yes. Select 'Other, not classified'. Enter it under medical reimbursements. In general, any medical expenses for which you are reimbursed, such as by your insurance or employer, or paid with pre-tax dollars, cannot be deducted. Box 14 is a catch-all box that employers mostly used for information.

It depends. If it did not have any affect on your return, then no, you do not need to amend. However, it is a good idea to double check the previous years to be sure it did not affect your return.
If it does have an affect on your return and you need to amend your return, you can also submit a claim under the accuracy guarantee policy that TurboTax has.

You need to look at your return with all worksheets from last year.
We recommend you download a copy each year when you finish filing.
TurboTax does not show your Driver's License number on the standard Form 1040. Instead, it is stored on an internal document called the Information Worksheet (or Info Wks).
Log in to TurboTax and go to your Tax Home.
Scroll down to "Your tax returns & documents" and select the previous tax year.
Click Download/print return (PDF).
Crucial Step: When prompted, choose to download "All forms and worksheets" (not just the "Tax Return" or "Just my forms").
Open the PDF and search for a page titled "Information Worksheet" or "Identity Verification Worksheet."
Scroll to the very bottom of that worksheet. You will find a section for "Driver's License/State I.D." which will show the Number, Issuing State, Issue Date, and Expiration Date used last year.
Check these three things:
The "Document Number"
Some states (like New York) require a Document Number in addition to a License Number. This is a separate 8-10 digit code found on the back of the card or in the bottom corner. TurboTax users often mistakenly enter their License Number in both boxes.
The "Issue Date" Bug: If you renewed your license recently, TurboTax might have "auto-filled" your old ID info from last year. If the Issue Date or Expiration Date in your current filing doesn't match your new physical card, the state will auto-reject it.
Hyphenation/Spaces: Some state systems are picky. If your license number is 12-345-6789, try entering it without the dashes (123456789) or vice-versa, depending on your state's specific error code instructions.

@Idonotliketurbotax TurboTax is currently working on updates to California Form 3514 with regards to the Foster Youth Tax credit and the update is not scheduled to be in place until after the April 15th tax deadline.
Because the form will not be ready in time to meet the filing deadline, you have some options available to you.
Waiting to file - You are still able to e-file your Federal return without filing your California return. California does not require you to file a special form for a filing extension as those extensions are granted automatically. Once the TurboTax update is in place, you can make the edits needed to claim the Foster Youth Tax credit and e-file your return. CAUTION: An extension of time to file is not an extension of time to pay. If you believe that you will have a balance due to California, you should make efforts to pay that balance due by the April 15th deadline. The California FTB website has more information on payments on extension.
File now and amend later - You can file your California tax return now to meet the deadline. After the CA Form 3514 is updated in TurboTax and your California return and refund (or payment for a balance due) has processed, file an amendment to your California return to claim the Foster Youth Tax credit.

If box 14 for state withholding is empty then leave all boxes 14-16 Blank. If box 14 has an amount and box 16 is blank put in the amount from box 1 in box 16.

@user17745382418 , this additional senior deduction is available even if you itemize -- see this from the IRS :
--> One, Big, Beautiful Bill Act: Tax deductions for working Americans and seniors | Internal Revenue Service
"Deduction for Seniors
New deduction: Effective for 2025 through 2028, individuals who are age 65 and older may claim an additional deduction of $6,000. This new deduction is in addition to the current additional standard deduction for seniors under existing law.
The $6,000 senior deduction is per eligible individual (i.e., $12,000 total for a married couple where both spouses qualify).
Deduction phases out for taxpayers with modified adjusted gross income over $75,000 ($150,000 for joint filers).
Qualifying taxpayers: To qualify for the additional deduction, a taxpayer must attain age 65 on or before the last day of the taxable year.
Taxpayer eligibility: Deduction is available for both itemizing and non-itemizing taxpayers.
Taxpayers must:
include the Social Security Number of the qualifying individual(s) on the return, and
file jointly if married, to claim the deduction."
This shows up on Schedule 1-A section V , line 36a, 36b and finally line 37.
Does this make sense ?
