I closed a Chase brokerage account in 2025. They provide a PDF and CSV file I can download, but the closed account isn't showing in the list of files to import using TT.  Everything else from Chase imported correctly.  I asked Chase, who thinks I can transfer the PDF file into TT but I am using the DESKTOP edition and it doesn't seem to work.   Is there any way I can get this into TT without having to manually type everything in?  BTW, I thought I could use a CSV to TXF converter, but the CSV file downloaded from the Chase website doesn't seem to contain all the data regarding stock sales, although the PDF does.

If you don't actually have a penalty, you can delete the form ( see How to Delete). If you do have a penalty, it can be caused by a rounding error if you entered cents in your return. Another error can occur with uneven withholding and the program trying to match up all the numbers that were entered.   You may need to delete the form and go back through the VA underpayment penalty section.

Just tried again, for the 10th time. Despite the latest update, we still cant e-file in Oregon because of the 1099-Q programming glitch.  I submitted this earlier in the week to TT support and was assured it would be escalated and that it's being worked on. But still nothing. I think this may be my last year using TT. In ten years I've never had a major problem like this that just isnt being addressed.

Since you already paid for Online, try asking support to switch you to the Desktop program and put it in your account.   Yes there are many differences between Online and Desktop.  And Online can only do 1 return per account.  And you may have to upgrade to a higher version to enter certain things, whereas all the Desktop programs have the same forms so you can use a lower version.   And do you know for 2025 you will need Windows 11 or Mac OS Sonoma 14 computer to install it?

Hi Patricia, thank you.  I went back through the section again.  This time I answered that it does qualify for QBI and then stepped through.  Now TT did all of the calculations and filled in the right numbers.  The description of QBI is very poor but that appears because the tax code itself is so poorly written.  In any case thanks for the help.  Anyone else running into this, go through all of the QBI steps at the bottom of the Rental Property forms.

If this is the only error in your return, try skipping the Final Review and go right to Efile after stepping though the 1099-R and follow-up questions again.   @Jlhchic
