The medical expense deduction has to meet a rather large threshold before it can affect your return. The amount of medical (including dental, vision, etc.) expenses that will count toward itemization is the amount that is OVER 7.5% of your adjusted gross income. You should only enter the amount that you paid in 2025—do not include any amounts that were covered by insurance or that are still outstanding. Of course, your medical expenses plus your other itemized deductions still have to exceed your standard deduction before you will see a difference in your tax due or refund.
To enter your medical expenses go to Federal>Deductions and Credits>Medical>Medical Expenses
2025 STANDARD DEDUCTION AMOUNTS
SINGLE $15,750 (65 or older/legally blind + $2000)
MARRIED FILING SEPARATELY $15,750 (65 or older/legally blind +1600)
MARRIED FILING JOINTLY $31,500 (65 or older/legally blind + $1600)
HEAD OF HOUSEHOLD $23,625 (65 or older/legally blind + $2000)

Once your tax return is accepted, the IRS takes over processing. If the IRS refund tool says that your refund was issued today but it hasn't arrived, it is often due to banking processing times, which can take 1-5 additional business days.
For status updates, you can use the IRS tool Where's my Refund?. You can also use the tools TurboTax site tracking tool.
Are your fees being deducted from your refund? Please clarify.

You don't need to file a Rhode Island tax return if you didn't live or work there. I interpret your post to mean you worked for a Rhodes Island company but actually worked in Maryland. If so, you can delete that form from your program. Just go to the state section in TurboTax and click on the delete icon next to the Rhode Island tax return.
If you worked in Rhode Island, then you need to review you entries in that section as you must have duplicated your reported earnings somewhere.

Scroll to and select the type of form you want to update.
A list of all the forms of that type will be shown.
Select [Revie] next to the item you want to change.
You will be able to find and edit the payor on this page.

Yes, keep the 1042-S along with your copy W2 for your reference. You don't need to report it since it is essentially a "duplicate" of your W2.
Be sure to print your return and keep it as a copy...

Be sure to print your return and keep it as a copy along with your W2 and 1042-S. IRS recommends you keep these for 3-7 years in case if needed.

Do you mean 2026? If your fiscal year ends on August 31, you cannot file a return until after August 31. If the estate or trust is not based on a calendar year, the return is due the 15th day of the 4th month following the close of the tax year.
So if your fiscal year ends on August 31, then your return is due by December 15th.

Yes. Box 9b is typically where your total employee contributions, or basis, is listed on a Form 1099-R for an annuity.
If you are receiving regular payments from a commercial annuity or a qualified plan where you made after-tax contributions (Usually shown in Box 9b of your 1099-R), you will need the following information to get past the annuity interview screens:
Annuity start date
Plan Cost (Basis), which is the amount of after-tax money you (or your employer) contributed to the plan
Age at start
Amounts previously recovered, which is the total amount of "tax-free" principal you've already claimed on prior years' returns
Other places to look for your basis include:
Box 5 (this year's distribution that is a tax-free return of your basis)
Your own records, such as final pay stub from the year you retired
Your Plan's Summary Plan Description often will show your total after-tax contributions
Form 8606 for IRA-based annuities where your basis is not shown on Box 9b of your Form 1099-R
