if you're having issue after doing aa new return, "Begin" and then trying to transfer the .tax2024 file - a lot of people report the "Continue" button just gets stuck - instead of starting a return that way, go to File / Open Tax Return and open the .tax2024 file, Turbotax will recognize it is from prior year and ask to transfer it into a new return, and this has usually worked cleanly.
Can you please clarify whether the T4s are or are not from the same province?

2024 line 8 should be blank, that 8606 sounds fine   your understanding of the outcome is correct, this was a 2024 contribution and the conversion is reportable in 2025 tax year and you should end up paying tax just on the $1.62 earnings included in the conversion (I think will round down to $1).   but what is on your 2025 8606, sounds like line 8 is blank there.  You should see the $7000 basis carryover on line 2, mailing the 8606 shouldn't matter if you input the carryover basis.   good suggestion from @AnnetteB6 to walk through the Trad IRA section if not done so (did you do a 2025 contribution yet?) to see if that triggers the differently outcome on 8606.

@user17720279755  The Form 1040-X for amending a 2025 federal tax return is estimated to be available in TurboTax on 03/04/2026   An amended return, Form 1040-X, can only be printed and mailed to the IRS if the original tax return was not e-filed. The IRS will take up to 20 weeks or longer to process an amended tax return. Before starting to amend the tax return, wait for the tax refund to be received or the taxes due to be paid and processed by the IRS. See this TurboTax support FAQ for amending a current year tax return - https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-return/amend-federal-tax-return-curr...

If you are filing as head of household, I am assuming you have not lived with them for any part of the last 6 months of the year, then you do not need to include your spouses name or social security number on your return. When you file as Head of Household, the IRS considers you unmarried.  You can go back to the personal info section and select the trashcan next to their name.  Then be sure their personal info worksheet has been deleted by going to forms mode in TurboTax desktop or Delete a Form Online.  As long as you qualify as head of household, do not enter their name or information on your return. There is no need.   Once they are fully removed from your return, you will be able to e-file.   From the left rail menu in TurboTax Online, select Tax Tools (You may have to scroll down on the left rail menu.) On the drop-down select Tools On the Pop-Up menu titled “Tools Center,” select Delete a Form  This will show all of the forms in your return  Scroll down to the form you want to delete  Select the Form  Click on Delete.  Always use extreme caution when deleting information from your tax return.  There could be unintended consequences.      Guide to Filing Taxes as Head of Household

Colleges do not usually include room & board (R&B) in box 1 of the 1098-T. It's a mistake on their part to do so, but it's not unheard of.  I'll assume that $3100 is the correct amount of total qualified expenses, but you should verify that.     Q. Who reports 1098-T, parents or student?  A. Both.  You report it to claim the American Opportunity Tax Credit (AOTC)  and she enters it to report the taxable scholarship. It does not matter who paid what.  At tax time, you are allowed to allocate  educational expenses for the best benefit.  Although the general rule, in taxes, is that you must be the one making the payment, to get the deduction or credit, there is an exception for education.     The simple way to this is enter the 1098-T with adjustments (this is allowed, see explanation at "five points" link).  The TT interview can get messy and mistakes can be made.  The parent enters the 1098-T with $3100 in box 1 and box 5 blank.  The student enters the 1098-T with 0 in box 1 and $5303 (the taxable amount of the scholarship, since there is no longer any tuition to allocate to the scholarship).

Il semble que l'annexe 3 crée automatiquement le formulaire TP-726.7 même lorsque non requis. C'était le problème dans mon cas.
