@hillaryvargas67 You are misinterpreting "five days early" to mean get a refund in five days.   It does not mean you get your refund within five days after filing.     "5 days early" means you are supposed to receive your federal refund from one to five days sooner than the refund date shown on the IRS refund site.   If it does not meet that "at least one day sooner" date, they are supposed to refund the $35 fee.   You have to pay attention to the date on the IRS refund site. You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 35a of your 2025 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:    https://www.irs.gov/refunds

Schedule K-3 reports foreign activity for the purposes of the Foreign Tax Credit. For this reason, there are no entry points for US income in TurboTax. However, you may need to refer to this information to complete Form 1116 or Form 1118. See the IRS Instructions for Schedule K-3 for further assistance.

It's not clear what you mean by "show" Schedule A. Where are you looking for Schedule A? Are you using TurboTax Desktop or TurboTax Online? What is the exact amount on your Form 1040 line 12e? Look at the actual tax form, not a summary screen in TurboTax. Are either you or your spouse age 65 or older or blind? Each of those factors adds another $1,600 to the standard deduction.
Hey VolvoGirl, the amount of state tax withheld is correct, taken from the proper box on the 1099R. The issue seems to be a technical problem with the program.
Do I have a lump sum payment in 2024? My 2025 RRB 1099 only shows an amount in 2025, lines 3,5.  (My 2024 form shows an amount in Lines 3, 5, which I entered last year). My wife, a spousal beneficia... See more...

My wife, a spousal beneficiary, shows amounts in 2025, lines 3,5. However, she also has an amount in line 7 of 2025, "the Social Secuitiy Equivalent Benefit Portion of Tier 1 paid for 2024." Do I put that line 7 amount in Turbo Tax as the 2024 lump sum? And mine would be "0" since I don't have a box 7? Turbo Tax then asks for the 2024 information in Box 5, which I entered. The Fairness Act has really stumped me. Thank you

Windows 11 was released on October 5, 2021.  I would not call that a new OS over 4 years later.

Hi there - yes, I've done all of those steps.  Today I went ahead and just filled in the form manually on the State of CT DRS web site so that I could meet the 3/16/26 filing deadline and make our payment.  I was able to use the info from the CT 1065 forms in Turbo Tax to complete the manual filing - but would be ideal if Turbo Tax could address this issue for others, and for 2027. It's been a problem for several years now.  Thanks!

To move the TurboTax program to a new computer, you must install the software again using your original CD or download link.  Sign In to your Intuit Account, and access 'Your Products/Downloads'.    You can copy your tax data files (ending in .tax20XX) to a removable drive and transfer them to your new computer. Look in Documents > TurboTax for your files, or search your computer.    Here's more info on Moving Tax Files to a New Computer.   @jgorski

Ok, thank you so much. You helped me find it.  As you can tell this is the first time I am a beneficiary.  Could you please help me with this? On Schedule E, why was the portfolio income classified as nonpassive?  This is income from an estate; I wasn't an employee at the place where ever this $ came from, and I don't recall Turbo asking me if this income was passive or nonpassive.
MarilynG1and rjs, Thank you!  Looks like I'm good to go.  I appreciate you both.
Did you do that on line 2a or 2f.  I'm unable to add supporting details for line 2f.
My return seems to be adding both the 2025 and 2024 4th qtr estimated payment into the calculation for line 5A on Schedule A - both were paid in January.  Can you explain?

My husband passed away and I am now receiving a 1099-R from his employer. Under 'Pensions - taxable' in the TurboTax income summary, the amount listed is zero. I'm trying to figure out why there is no amount listed here, or what might have changed. Any help would be appreciated.
Get a grantor error on 1120-s when I am sole owner and there is no trust.  Keeps wanting me to add grantor name ssn address etc but i have no trust?
Sill not corrected.  I deleted 8453 FE and added back same form with new file and still didn't work.

@mark Click on My Info on the left side of the online program screen.  Edit your personal information.  When asked for your resident state, choose Louisiana from the dropdown.  When asked if you made money in any other states or that you lived in any other states answer NO. For your spouse, if Married and Filing Jointly, make the same is entered for them.   See if this corrects your error.

I gave up and entered it manually.  I did see some posts that using Edge and Chrome both failed at imports but FireFox did work for a few people.  I don't know if its worth it to you to install a new browser and give it a try.  I decided not to and rated their survey pretty low due to software issues.  If I didn't have the return mapped out in Excel and could compare it to TT, I would have had issues.  Loss carryforwards are another thing to look out for, the software I used wasn't pulling last year's carrover to 2025.  Be sure to check that.
