If it's rejected, you will get an email. Where are you seeing it was rejected? You may just need to resubmit the return.

It is reflected on Schedule 1A, Part V, Line 37
Social Security is still being taxed as it was in the past; however, there's a new $6,000 deduction for individuals older than 65 years old. Also, a $12,000 deduction would apply to couples who qualify.

It is automatic based on your age. It is not part of your Standard Deduction. The new Senior Deduction is separate and in addition to the Standard Deduction or your Itemized Deductions on 1040 line 12e. The 6,000/12,000 senior deduction will be calculated on 1040 Schedule 1-A page 2 Part V Enhanced Deduction for Seniors which goes to 1040 line 13b with any other sch 1-A amounts. Turbo Tax automatically includes it if you qualify. If you are married you have to file a Joint return.
For Online version You can preview the 1040 or print the whole return https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/accessing/help/how-do-i-preview-my-turbotax-online-return-before-filing/00/26160 What do you have on 1040 line 13b?

Can you provide more information? Your Federal return was rejected and the reject is for a 14 digit control number? I'm not sure what problem you are experiencing.

If you did not live together for the last six months of 2025, you do not have to amend,- she is eligible to file as Head of Household. For Head of Household, she would be "considered unmarried" if you lived apart during the entire last six months of the tax year and she paid the expenses of the household. She will be able to show her apartment so the duplicate address of your sponsor does not matter if she was not actually living there.

I used cash to pay the down payment in 2024, then had several very expensive unexpected things to fix on the house due to being lied to by omission by the realtor, seller and inspector. In 2025 I had to pull from my IRA to pay basic expenses. Is there anything I can do to get out of the penalty? I started a daycare out of my home in 2025 also and have not had a lot of work until recently. Help?
