You'll need to file by mail as your daughter's amended return may take up to 12 weeks to be processed.   Please read this TurboTax Help article on How to file by mail?

The most important thing to do is make sure your recipients have received their 1099 copies so they can file their 1040 tax forms by the deadline; if you have not done so, please mail or electronically provide those copies immediately to the recipients.    Next, you can try calling the IRS business tax line: Businesses 800-829-4933 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. local time I didn't see 1099-NEC on the list of topics that can't be assisted via phone, so you should be able to call about it.   Otherwise, we have no open investigations for bugs related to 1099-NEC or W-2 using Quick Employer Forms, and a few customers noted that it was taking a very long time for the IRS to process forms W-2, so you would need to contact the Service directly to find out what the hang-up is.
While her amendment was accepted, amended returns can take 3-4 months to process. Mail your return.

I cannot find anywhere in the TT app to see whether or not I accidentally indicated that my dependent can be claimed by someone else. I go to Personal Info, find his name and click Edit. It does not give me the same choices as it does when I choose Edit for myself or my spouse, which does ask if someone else can claim us. Thank you for any help you can provide.

MY DEPENDENT SAID HE COULD NOT BE CLAIMED   Your dependent made a very common mistake often made by teenagers and students who are filing their first tax returns.  In MY INFO they should have said that they can be claimed as someone else’s dependent—-but they answered incorrectly and now your e-file is being rejected.   Your dependent will have to amend their return to change the way they answered that question in MY INFO.   They cannot amend until their return has been fully processed.   But you do not have to wait for them to amend.  Waiting will not help you at all.   You can file your return by mail, since mailed returns are not rejected.   It will take longer for the IRS to process your mailed return and delay your refund.   OR….Get an IP PIN to e-file.     GET IP pin in order to e-file if your dependent’s SSN was claimed on another return   https://www.irs.gov/newsroom/irs-takes-steps-to-help-prevent-refund-delays-by-accepting-duplicate-dependent-returns-with-an-ip-pin-for-2025-filing-season-taxpayers-encouraged-to-sign-up-soon-for-ip-pin-online-account     https://www.irs.gov/identity-theft-fraud-scams/get-an-identity-protection-pin

Hi Folks I finally figured out the issue. TT had two sources for Wells Fargo accounts: 1. Wells Fargo (missing the "Advisors" portion of the title that had been in previous years of TT) 2. Wells Fargo Clearing The first source connected to my account but would not respond with the 1099.  I was hesitant to use the second source. It linked to an unfamiliar website. I took a leap of faith and tried it. It worked. Thank you all for your help.

Hi @MonikaK1,   I don't have any more issues with TT, but I can tell you the steps that led me to this particular issue.   1. Go through all the Income pages 2. Go through all the deduction and credit pages 3. See the page that compares the Standard and Itemized Deductions. It shows the same Fed. refund amount for both methods. 4. It also shows that TT has chosen Standard Deductions. I wanted to change that to Itemized, so I clicked on the button for Change Deductions Type (can't remember the exact button label). 5. The popup shows Standard Deductions button highlighted, so I clicked on the Itemized button, which became highlighted, and I closed the popup by clicking on Continue. 6. This was when I noticed that TT still showed I chose Standard Deductions on the comparisons page.

The steps that DaveF1006 recommends amount to deleting Form 8606.  As I said above, if you have a Roth conversion, if you delete Form 8606, it will come right back.  I don't know if the bug is that the 8606 gets instantiated when it is not needed, or that Interview asks for a number it should know is not needed, but clearly there is a bug.  Or two.  The only workaround is to put in a fake number (which is disconcerting no matter how many experts tell you it doesn't matter), or to go find the **bleep** number, which is a waste of time.

It may not be the issue for you, but for some folks, they have backups to a cloud drive (like Windows OneDrive), and after a certain amount of time (user-settable I think), the file gets transferred to the cloud.  Maybe it  got moved there and just needed to be restored to the proper TurboTax directory on your local drive.   ....or something else strange is going on, as this doesn't happen to the vast majority of other desktop users.
Thank you for your answer! It was the correct solution. Much appreciated.
Yeah I would do nothing and wait and see what the IRS debits your account.  The penalty is an estimated amount anyway.  The IRS can adjust it and send you a bill for more or a refund.
