From IRS Publication 502:   Guide Dog or Other Service Animal You can include in medical expenses the costs of buying, training, and maintaining a guide dog or other service ani- mal to assist a visually impaired or hearing disabled per- son, or a person with other physical disabilities. In general, this includes any costs, such as food, grooming, and vet- erinary care, incurred in maintaining the health and vitality of the service animal so that it may perform its duties.
We're being told there should be an update that will resolve this in the late afternoon on Friday.
The 1099R should be upated tomorrow.  Keep checking.   Go up to Online-Check for Updates.

Hell, your guess is as good as anyone's!  Seems some difference of opinion on that. 😎   If you want to get an estimate on your tax liability, you can use the Forms feature on Desktop Turbo Tax and  enter your 1099-R info there.  I did that, because I wanted to see  the numbers sooner rather than later.   That said, be sure to go back and open up the 1099-R 401(k) IRA section under Wages and Income in Turbo Tax, once the 1099-R upgrade comes out and is installed and go through the steps to verify your form entries.  Stay away from directly filing your Turbo Tax return if you use the Forms version for 1099-R.  Make sure you go through the regular screens to verify the entries.

It would depend out what form you filed to report your business income and deductions. If you filed a partnership/multi-member LLC return Form 1065 or S Corporation return form 1120-S, you would use the Schedule K-1 from those returns to report your share of business income, credits and deductions on your personal tax return.   If you are a shareholder in a regular or "C" corporation, you do not report any of the business income, deductions or credits on your personal tax return. If you are a sole-proprietor, you use Schedule C on your personal return to report your business activity.
Thank you for your follow-up, @Stevos555. I'm happy to hear your issue has been resolved. If you run into other problems, please let us know. Thank you for being a long-time customer!
I see, thanks again for clarifying

Does your Social Security Card say Not Valid for Employment on it?  If so, then the SSN cannot be used for employment.   If not, check your personal information in TurboTax.  You'll get to a screen where you enter a Social Security Number.  Below that is a box that states "Your Social Security card has "Not valid for employment" printed on it" - make sure that box is not checked.   Also, Individual Tax Identification numbers (ITIN) issued to non-residents are only used for tax filing purposes and not employment.  An ITIN will always begin with the number "9".

@tvhamilton0314 wrote: What does this fee cover exactly? I noticed the 2 other fees but I didn’t know what this fee is associated with. It is a service charge by the bank that provides the service when the TurboTax account fees are being paid from the federal tax refund. See this - https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/intuit-product-orders/refund-processing-service/L3zANb1OR_US_en_US   The other fees you may be referring to are the TurboTax account fee for either the Deluxe or Premium online edition and the state tax program you selected.  There may be other charges based on what you selected while completing your tax return.  All fees and charges would be shown in the File section of the program on Step 1.  Or you can use this support FAQ for how to review your TurboTax fees - https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/intuit-account-billing/review-fees-turbotax-online/L1XnIzgzg_US_en_US

MY RETURN IS IN PENDING—what does that mean?   You will not get any information from the IRS refund site while your return is in pending.  The IRS does not have your return yet.   Did you e-file?  Did you click that big orange button that said “Transmit my returns now?”  If so, your return is now in “pending” on a server.  Do not try to change anything while your return is in pending. On January  26  the IRS will begin to accept/reject e-files.  The IRS accepts a FEW returns in test batches ahead of January 26—-but that is very random.   Watch your emails—including your spam folder—for the notice about whether your e-file has been accepted or rejected.  If your return is rejected you will be able to make corrections before re-filing.   If the return you e-filed is accepted you will have to wait until it has been fully processed and then amend it to fix any mistakes or omissions.  It has been taking the IRS four to six months—sometimes longer—to process amended returns.   If you e-filed your state return there will be another email later that tells you if the state was accepted or rejected.   WARNING:   Do not try to change anything on your return while it is pending.   https://www.irs.gov/newsroom/irs-announces-first-day-of-2026-filing-season-online-tools-and-

You fill out the 1099R exactly as shown.  I got my 1099R from Vanguard for my QCD and it only had code 7 in box 7.  There is a new code Y some 1099R might use.  After you enter the 1099R TurboTax will ask you if any portion of your distribution was transferred to charity. You can then enter the amount transferred to charity.   Then do not enter the QCD under Deductions.  It only goes on the 1099R entry.

Trying to add 1099R info.  TT says it needs review.  I click on UPDATE and it says "This section will be ready soon" and specifically notes form 3903 (which I don't need).  I sign up for email alert and get notified 10 minutes later that 3903 is available.  Sign back in to TT and same thing happens, the section is not available to enter any info. No specific forms are mentioned.   Hard to believe that 3 weeks into 2026 something as fundamental as this is missing.  If I switch to the forms view it has the unfilled 1099R.  So what is not available and when will it be?
I got it to work.  Just rebooted my PC and tried it again through the TurboTax install and it worked.   Thanks for the reply.
