As long as your return hasn't already been e-filed and accepted by the IRS, you can edit your information. In your Intuit Account go to "My Info" section, and then, click Edit next to your name to correct the date.
If the return was rejected, you can fix the birthdate and resubmit.
If the return was already accepted, you must wait for the IRS to process and then file an amended return to fix it.

Percentage of income is the beneficiary's share of the Trust income - The percentage of total distributed income. Dividends distributed to the trust and not retained by the trust are part of the total income to the beneficiary. For example, 5 beneficiaries, percentage of income is 20% each.
Percentage of taxable income is the beneficiary's share of MA gross income subject to tax in MA. For dividend income, a non-resident of CT is not taxed in MA. The percentage would be 0% if all dividends.
MA Gov states: Certain types of income received by non-residents from sources within Massachusetts are excluded from taxation, such as non-business-related interest, dividends and gains from the sale or exchange of intangibles that are not derived from or effectively connected with the carrying on of a trade or business, and certain qualified pension income.

I need help. My 4 year old daughters biological father who hasnt seen her or been in her life for about 3.5 years ended up getting medica insurance for her last year, I need the information from the 1095-A form my daughter so I can claim her on my taxes but he isnt willing to give me anything because were just not on good speaking terms and he wants to make my life extra hard. I didnt pay for anything for that insurance last year, but I still need to enter the information. How do I get it and then how would I enter it on my taxes? They keep getting rejected because I dont have that information to enter. And when it asks who the 1095-A form is for. It only gives me the choice of me, or my husband, so how would I enter that information for her? And how would I get out of having to pay anything for it cause im not the one who held the insurance for her or had to pay anything for it. Please help, I wanna get this filed and done before he tries to claim her on his taxes like he has every year even though he hasnt had her a single day in the past 3.5 years. Thanks!

Having same issue: I'm a MS Edge user & followed your instructions about allowing the site (ttd-fdp-ui-config-v2.app.intuit.com); however, it still doesn't work. It gives me a "success" message but when I return to TT there are no imported documents. Any additional suggestions?

It is part of TurboTax. There is not a special section or box to check. Just enter your correct information and TurboTax will take it from there. If eligible you will find this on Schedule 1-A Part V and line 13b of your form 1040. TurboTax will automatically calculate it based on your date of birth and your income.
For Tax Year 2025 through 2028, seniors may claim an additional deduction of $6,000 per taxpayer over 65. This is NOT a refundable credit. This is a deduction of your income.
If your income is above $75,000 ($150,000 if Married filing jointly) the bonus deduction decreases by $.06 for every dollar over the relevant amount.
This deduction is available whether you itemize or take the standard deduction.
If your filing status is married filing separately you are not eligible for this deduction.
This bonus deduction is ONLY for those over 65, it does not apply to those who are blind and under 65

The “senior deduction” is added automatically by the software based on the date of birth and filing status you entered into MY INFO. You do not need to take any extra steps to enter it. (And…the new senior deduction has nothing to do with whether you are getting Social Security)
The deduction is not on the same line as your standard deduction. It is shown separately.on line 13b.
2025 STANDARD DEDUCTION AMOUNTS
SINGLE $15,750 (65 or older/legally blind + $2000)
MARRIED FILING SEPARATELY $15,750 (65 or older/legally blind +1600)
MARRIED FILING JOINTLY $31,500 (65 or older/legally blind + $1600)
HEAD OF HOUSEHOLD $23,625 (65 or older/legally blind + $2000)
For 2025 through 2028 there is an extra deduction amount of up to $6000 per individual 65 or older filing Single, MFJ, or HOH which is phased out for taxpayers with modified adjusted gross income over $75,000 for single filers and $150,000 for joint filers.
(The deduction phases out completely at $175.000 Single or HOH, or $250,000 joint)
The $6,000 senior deduction will be calculated on 1040 Schedule 1-A page 2 Part V Enhanced Deduction for Seniors which goes to 1040 line 13b. It is separate and in addition to the Standard Deduction or your Itemized Deductions on 1040 line 12e. Turbo Tax automatically includes it.

If you are not getting the senior deduction it is because
Your date of birth in MY INFO shows that you were not 65 by the end of 2025
Your income is too high
You are filing married filing separately

If you select the 5 Day Early Refund Delivery, you will not see the Refund Advance option, but you can return to the refund selection page and find all the options listed.
