Yes, everything is entered correctly. If I mark both spouses as full year residents, the page "Deduction for Military Pay" comes up and confirms that the military pay was exempted. But if i change the non-military spouse to either part-year or non resident, this page never comes up and the military pay of the full-year resident  remains as taxable income. Is TurboTax able to handle this situation?

You need to set up a rental property in the Rental Income section under Wages and Income in TurboTax. When you enter your rental income on the screen that says Rental Income, choose Other income not reported on a 1099-MISC or 1099-K, and income from barter or exchange.  You can enter the rental income you received without it being reported on a Form 1099.

Yes, this would be correct.  You've allocated 20% of the wages to New York and 80% of the wages to Pennsylvania on the W2.  The non-resident amount taxable in New York is 20% of the wage total while 100% of the wages are taxable to Pennsylvania, with a credit applied for the 20% that was taxable to New York.   When you do your state returns, be sure to start with your non-resident New York return and finalize it before starting your Pennsylvania return.  If you had already started your state returns before editing your W-2, you should delete the state returns and start over.  To do that in TurboTax online:   Click State on the left side menu then click Go to state return in the lower right corner Click the trashcan icon by each state you want to delete, then click Delete on the pop-up window. To add the states back, click the + Add another State button and select the state to added back from the dropdown menu To delete a state return in the Desktop product, click File in the black banner at the left, then slick Remove state return from the dropdown menu.  Confirm the removal of the state to erase the data you previously entered so that you can start off with a clean slate.

If you are using TurboTax online and are getting the HSA_2025 rejection code when trying to electronically file your return, try using the following steps to clear the internal condition that is causing the rejection code. These steps have worked for some users to be able to refile with acceptance of their returns.   Also, please note that you should not check the box indicating that you are ‘covered by Medicare’ unless you are receiving Medicare benefits rather than having HDHP insurance coverage. This question is also asking about 2025, not 2026. So if you are covered by Medicare in 2026, this check box does not apply to you. Use these steps:   Go to Deduction and Credits > Medical > 1099-SA, HSA, MSA and click Update Continue through the HSA section until you reach the page that asks if you were covered by a High Deductible Health Plan in 2025 and answer according to your situation. Next, check any appropriate boxes on the page that asks Do any of these situations apply to you? (This is where it is important to be accurate about whether you were receiving Medicare benefits during 2025). The next page asks what type of HDHP coverage did you have in 2025. Check the box that says ‘I had different plan types at different times of the year’, then click Continue.  On the next page, select the type of coverage for each month of the year according to your situation. (If you were covered by Medicare in 2025, indicate that you had Medicare or None for any month you had Medicare coverage.) Continue through the process to answer the same set of questions for your spouse, if applicable. Keep clicking Continue until you are back at the main Deductions and Credits page.   At this point, you can go through the error check process and refile your return.

It depends. The statements are the same in both TurboTax Online and TurboTax Desktop. It's important that you made the appropriate selections so that TurboTax does know that it was not self employment income. These questions are in both versions. Open your TurboTax Online/Mobile or TurboTax Desktop tax return Search (upper right) > type 1099misc > click the Jump to... link Begin your entry of the 1099-MISC. It's important for you to select 'None of these apply' and then you should also select the following: 'No' on the screen 'Did the '____' involve work that's like your main job?' 'No' on the screen 'Did the '____'  involve an intent to earn money?' This will report the income without any business/self employment activity and it will show up on Form 1040, Line 8 (From Schedule 1, Line 8z). Continue to complete this section. @user17753549921

No. Not always. Form 8606 is used to calculate the taxable amount of your Roth IRA.  Since you have Code T, this is telling TurboTax that you have met your 5 year holding period.  And if you already entered your age and are over 59.5, this would not be taxable income.

I think you're referring to your tax return, Form 1040. and the posting of a retirement withdrawal reported on a for 1099-R.   Box 1z is income. It includes you  W-2's and other income forms of income. It doesn't include any Social Security or retirement income. Line 5a is retirement income that is reported on a Form 1099-R. You should check the posting of the 1099-R to confirm the amount is $13,014. The two numbers are separately calculated.   It's a coincidence that they are soo close.

Yes, you are correct. The negative income entered under 'Other Income' can only be the net amount so that it's equal.    As indicated earlier, there is no need to enter duplicated income at all. If the two 1099-MISCs are an exact duplicate and you did not receive the income twice, it should just remain in your file with all tax documents and the information about contacting the company in regards to the discrepancy.   @Pedernales
