Thank you.  It is the desktop version.  I don't recall seeing another button on the left, other than "back", but I will work through one to try it.  thank you again.
@cwkhsk They are keeping this requirement loosey goosey for now.  Our English language is always evolving. 😉

Hi. I installed a new heat pump in 2025 and should be able to receive a tax credit. However, when I call the company, all I am being given is a AHRI reference number ([removed]), but Turbotax is requiring a QMID number, which they are telling me they do not have. What should I do?
That box matters if you are getting earned income credit or if you or your spouse have some sort of immigration  status issue; otherwise it does not affect anything.

No. You should not enter either the original Form 1099-R, or the corrected Form 1099-R in your return at all.   Instead, keep them for your records and delete both the original incorrect entry, as well as the corrected entry from TurboTax.   To delete the entries, go back to Wages & Income, IRA, 401(k), Pension Plan Withdrawals (1099-R), Review Click the trash can icon to the right of any entries related to this transfer to delete   Because a Trustee-to-Trustee transfer is non-reportable and you used a direct transfer, the original  Form 1099-R was issued by mistake and the corrected Form reflects this.

No, you do not need to input the control number on your W-2. If you get errors when attempting to e-file with an empty box D, just enter any number in this format: 5 digits, space, 5 digits (for example 12345 67890). The IRS doesn't care what's in box D.   A Control Number (box D) is used by many payroll departments to uniquely identify a W-2 in their system. If your W-2 doesn't have one, it's no big deal.   Please read this TurboTax Help topic for more information.
A control number in box d of the W-2 is not required to e-file a tax return

I want to DOWNGRADE from 2025 TT Premier PC Download (that I already paid $111.30 for) to 2025 TT Deluxe Download so that I can claim the Foreign Tax Credit WITHOUT using Form 1116.  Since 2025 Premier DOES NOT SUPPORT doing this (2024 DID!!)  HOW can I do this? Also will everything I entered over the last 2 days transfer over to Deluxe?
That box does not need to be checked unless you are eligible for the Earned Income Tax Credit. The IRS will process a tax return and issue a tax refund without that box being checked.

Thank you for your reply. Still having an issue. I am a non resident of Michigan. 1.  Michigan Sch NR line 19 is correct. (5.26% of my income is allocated to Michigan through business income -  Board of Director's position in the state of Michigan) 2. I go to "Topic List" in turbo tax and see a box for Michigan interview.  This box is filled in with smaller blue square (not sure if the interview will open as It seems to open in "Start Your State Return)?  This might be appropriate. 3. The standard deduction section on schedule 1 - Deduction Based on Year of Birth.  I am 67 years old and believe I qualify for Tier 3 Michigan Standard Deduction. Worksheet 2: Tier 2 and 3 Michigan Standard Deduction Smart Worksheet fills in $40,000 on line 1, line 3 and line 7.  Line 9 and 10 is properly prorated (5.26%) for personal exemptions 4. Line 11 shows $39,507.  Per the tax form instruction from line 11, this amount of $39,507 should carry down to line 26.  Line 26 is blank in turbotax? 5. My federal return does have pension income from a private employer.  But none is allocated to the State of Michigan.  Pension deduction worksheet appears to show information correctly. 6.  I have no taxable Social Security or Military Retirement benefits.   In summary: 1. "I believe" I qualify for a Tier 3 Standard Deduction (for all/any income deduction) which should be reduced down to 5.26% as I don't think I would qualify for a 100% standard section based on income proration?   2. I can't get back to the question in turbo tax about "In MI, you are asked if you want standard deduction or Pension/ Retirement subtraction."  I was initially asked this question during the turbo tax "Smart Check" and the question was asked to correct an error (I don't see this question on any Michigan form through turbo tax).  So may have something blocking a calculation?
I correctly skipped the IDUSA.

I received a payout from a pre-tax accident indemnity plan.  I understand that the amount paid that exceeded the cost of the services (doctor visit) is taxable.  I received a 1099-MISC for the full amount.  Where do I show the amount that is not taxable?
I inherited an IRA from someone who was over age 70, so my distribution (IT-201, line 9) is supposed to be excluded from NYS taxes (line 29), but the full amount is not there.

Yep I also have the same problem.  I also posted a question regarding the same issue.  Here is my post: I was able to transmit the federal return F1065 without issue after the Georgia state returns were available in TurboTax Business.  However I continue to get the following message when trying to transmit the Georgia return. Tax year 2025 transmissions are not available.  TurboTax Business is not ready to process tax year 2025 for this file. Here is the link to check the availability of the various State returns for TurboTax  https://care-cdn.prodsupportsite.a.intuit.com/forms-availability/turbotaxbusiness_states_windows_sel... The site shows for Georgia partnerships the form 700 (equivalent to F 1065 federal )  would be ready 2/20/2026 .  Has this date been delayed ?  or is there another problem.     As a long time user I know of the various tricks such as updating the software as if it doesn't already do that when you start the program or clear the cookies.   I've also checked the entries to insure there is a value in boxes.  TurboTax likes to use a blank box when the value entered is zero and sometimes when you haven't entered a value it causes problems.  I agree with a comment from other uses that acknowledging the problem would help.  I want to believe TurboTax knows who we are and our email addresses.   With March 15 (17) coming up quick I don't want to have to file an extension.   My other concern is that its a problem not picked up by the error checking.  That I have a extra space with a number or left a blank and I will keep trying for the next six months trying to efile when its a problem with my file.  My federal F1065 was transmitted and accepted without any problems.
