There is no concrete date. Hopefully sometime in March.
When you use online TurboTax there are separate fees for federal and state.   You pay for each one.  Did you only pay for the federal so far?   If so you have to pay again to file a state return.

@kls3806   Maybe they updated turbotax in the last few weeks--  as of 2/19/26 --- I entered 1095-A info and this amount was imported into sched 1 line 17-- it did not affect anything on schedule C Line 15 nor did it input anything into the Business section of TT Home and Business-- if enter anything for health care in the business section for health insurance, this amount is duplicated on Sched 1 Line 17--- So I only entered our Dental Premium there and just let the 1095-A values populate Line 17--- I'm only mentioning this since it looked like you deleted your 1095-A instead of deleting the deduction in the Business section of TT.....  In the end, as long as you don't have it in there twice, it won't affect the return amount-- so just verify in Forms that the value Sched 1 line 17 is correct.    Note-- Line 15 should only be business paid insurance-- for my wife's business-- it is her malpractice insurance but this could be liability and stuff like that-- not personal health insurance IMO....    I also verified that changing the  "Health Insurance Premiums" value in the business section DOES NOT affect the business Net Income so it is NOT being counted twice that way either...  I do wish you luck.   HTH   PS... doing taxes is NOT for someone with OCD like me--- i check, double check, triple check everything....

Hi everyone,   I am moving from Massachusetts to Virginia in May. I am currently a student, and I have interest and dividend income that requires me to pay estimated taxes throughout the year. Starting in July, I will also begin working for a company in DC and will have salary income. I am not worried about making estimated payments for my salary income since my employer will handle the withholding; I just need to ensure I’m paying the correct estimated amounts for my interest and dividend income.   For 2026, I am planning to follow the safe harbor method by paying 100% of my total 2025 tax liability (divided into four equal quarterly installments).   However, I'm not clear on which state I should make these payments to for each quarter. I’m particularly unsure about the second quarter (April–June) since I will live in Massachusetts for the first two months and Virginia for the final month.   How should I handle the payment for the second quarter, and how does the month of June count toward my state residency for these payments?   Any advice on how to split or direct these state-level payments during a mid-quarter move would be very helpful.
@DaveF1006    So, just to make sure, going down the path outlined in point (2) of my previous post - was that just a mistake?

@dihakz Did you request to have your TurboTax account fees paid from the federal tax refund?  If so -   If you requested to have the TurboTax account fees deducted from your federal tax refund, the IRS will send the refund to a third party processor to have the fees and the $40 service charge deducted. The third party processor will deduct the TurboTax fees plus the $40 service charge and then attempt to direct deposit the remaining refund balance into the account that you entered on your tax return. For the status of your tax refund you will need to contact the third party processor, Santa Barbara Tax Product Group, using their website - https://www.sbtpg.com/ Tax Products Group Contact Information - https://help.sbtpg.com/hc/en-us/articles/230084587-Contact-Information Call 1-877-908-7228 Or email - TPG-CSsupport@greendotcorp.com

This is a claim of right repayment.    If the repayment is $3,000 or less, it is a miscellaneous itemized deduction and can longer be deducted.    If the repayment exceeds $3,000, you can only report it in the year you actually repaid the claim.   There are a couple of ways to get a tax break by reporting the repayment in the year of repayment:   You'll claim it as a simple deduction from the current year's income. This is the preferred option if you itemize your deductions Use TurboTax Desktop to figure out the amount of tax you overpaid and take a refundable tax credit Test both methods and choose the one that results in the lowest tax. Please read this TurboTax Help topic for more information.

The Form 1040-X for amending a 2025 federal tax return is estimated to be available in TurboTax on 02/25/2026 If the return is accepted you will have to amend your original tax return. An amended return, Form 1040-X, can only be printed and mailed to the IRS if the original tax return was not e-filed. The IRS will take up to 20 weeks or longer to process an amended tax return. Before starting to amend the tax return, wait for the tax refund to be received or the taxes due to be paid and processed by the IRS. See this TurboTax support FAQ for amending a current year tax return - https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-return/amend-federal-tax-return-curr...

I chose Wells Fargo Clearing house and the import went as it should. All matched my Tax forms from Wells Fargo Advisors.

First, the IRS has told me over and over that the refund was deposited. They told me to contact the tax preparer (TurboTax) which I’ve tried several times. The automated system doesn’t help and I can’t get through to a human being!   The refund did NOT go into MY account, but rather done other strange account. That is counter to what my tax return said!! Only Intuit can correct this and help me and I’m not getting any help. I’m fed up with them. I’ll be filing my taxes with someone else this year.
