But it's not being added.  That's what all of these people are trying to tell you.
Box 2 represents your balance on Jan 1, 2025 unless refinanced or sold or home just purchased. A payoff is not among the items to change the amount. Congratulations on paying off your mortgage!
I'm running into the same issue. Can someone please assist?

Hello, I have the 2025 Premier version.  For 3 weeks whenever I try to enter the charitable donation section, I get the following error:  "Hmm, looks like we've hit a snag.  We recommend you revisit the last topic you were working on to make sure all your info's correct"   I go back and let Turbotax walk me through each section, but when I get to that one, I can't do a thing.  Is this a bug?  Is there a fix for it?  Thanks.

In my return, the $6000 per senior is NOT being added.  My standard deduction is less this year than last year.  For two seniors married, TT is saying my standard deduction is $34,700.  That's correct as I understand it for people born before Jan, 1961.  But no where am I getting the subtraction of $12000 and my total income is less than $175,000.  The program is not right and TT is not entertaining our complaints.

On the 2025 Deductions and Credits page > Your Home > Mortgage Interest, ... My property taxes are not paid through mortgage lender. I get an option to upload the 1098 information. When I select upload, the property taxes get assigned as being paid to the mortgage lender so the next screen I get is only for additional property taxes, 2nd residence taxes, etc. The property tax amount is not listed anywhere on the 1098.   This does not happen when I enter the 1098 information myself. When I enter the 1098 information the property tax field stay $0.00 until I enter it on the property tax field.   Sounds like a bug.
I reached out to TurboTax support and they confirmed a fix is coming very soon.

That zip code is for Kansas City Public Schools. It is also called Unified School District. So KCKPS or USD 500 may be what you are trying to determine. If not, please reply with more information.
Has anyone found a fix for this?
I can confirm that the download of the NY state software happened as soon as I started the program.  It appears to be working.  (Feb 06 2026).
Choose your situation below and click on the link:   Where do I enter a 1099-G for a state or local tax refund? How do I report last year's state or local refund without a 1099-G?

The Form 1040-X for amending a 2025 federal tax return is estimated to be available in TurboTax on 02/19/2026   An amended return, Form 1040-X, can only be printed and mailed to the IRS if the original tax return was not e-filed. The IRS will take up to 20 weeks or longer to process an amended tax return. Before starting to amend the tax return, wait for the tax refund to be received or the taxes due to be paid and processed by the IRS. See this TurboTax support FAQ for amending a current year tax return - https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-return/amend-federal-tax-return-current-year/L7eS6o1qh_US_en_US?uid=lfunevhk
You enter that in the Investment Income section.  Right underneath the Stocks and Crypto entry, you should see Capital Loss Carryover.   How do I enter my capital loss carryover?

Follow these steps to fix your issue: Open your return to the 1099-R QCD. Go through the 1099-R entries Look at Box 7 on your form, is there a Y in the box and is it in the program (this is new for TY25 and not mandatory- but a quick way to prove) Either way, we continue on. It's just nice to know if the program already knows with the code Y. Is the IRA/ SEP/ SIMPLE box checked? It should be - both on your form and in the program continue on and look for the qualified charity distribution.  "Do any of these uncommon situations apply?" or "Did you transfer this to charity?"  Select Yes, - since in fact you did.  A box should pop up asking the amount of QCD, enter the amount. If you don't see this, you have to do a little workaround and I think this applies to you. We are going to cheat and then fix it: back up to the 1099-R, box 7 and select I have another box, add the Y. go forward a couple screens and the program asks how much was QCD and gets your return corrected. Go until the end and done with the 1099-R. The program is now aware of and holding the QCD information. Go back and remove the Y.  Continue forward and the QCD question will pop up again with the amount entered. You can look at your 1040. Line 4a is the total and line 4b is the taxable part.
