@danimee6    I just had another user who has this issue delete his state return and was successful filing. He didn't need to file a state return, but went through the state process to make sure he didn't need to file it. He deleted that state return and filed his Federal. His just got accepted by the IRS.     Can you try this and let me know if you are successful? Thank you!
Assuming your pension income in box 1 or 2 of your Form 1099-R has the Medicare premiums deducted from it, you cannot add it to other Medicare premiums paid to get an additional deduction.

Great news. Sorry, I forgot you told me you didn't need to file state. Thank you!
No, because a child age 19 does not qualify for the Child Tax Credit, which can only be claimed for a qualifying child aged 17 and younger.

@CatinaT1  can you please escalate this and  get our processing fees refunded- this has been a headache to say the least. Now we’re at risk of being double charged. I think after this we should not be charged at all. I tried but it will not accept my order number and I input all info correctly multiple times.

With the recent tax law changes, you might see additional information and codes in Box 14 of your W-2. Currently, there are no standardized codes to designate income such as “No Tax On Tips” or “Overtime”. While next year, the W-2 form will include specific codes and boxes dedicated to these tax changes, this year many employers are putting this information in Box 14. To help you know if you qualify for these deductions, we’ve created articles (linked below) that explain how the new laws work with regard to tips and overtime pay… and where to find these amounts if there is no information in Box 14.

I see, thank you so much for your time. I had a couple of questions. Should I wait until the current status of my application is marked as complete before proceeding further? Is there a separate amendment required for my state tax return as well? When does the amendment process for the 2025 tax year begin? If I have received an excess refund, what is the correct process to repay the extra amount?

I am assuming you are a US Citizen.  If so, then you would file as a part year resident if you were not in the country for  2025 up until December and your home prior to leaving the country was in PA.     The exception would be if you had a home in MA the entire time that you maintained, received your mail, had your drivers license registered too, etc.  In this case, then this would be considered a temporary absence and you would then file as a full year resident of MA if you did not have any other permanent home.  If you are not a US Citizen or Green Card holder, then your time outside of the country may mean you did not meet the substantial presence test.  If this is the case, you may need to file form 1040 NR which TurboTax does not support, but our partner Sprintax.com does.  They would also then be able to help you with your state taxes and what you need to file.

I used the desktop version and followed the guide from this link: How do I enter a backdoor Roth IRA conversion? It all matches up in part I but part II - 2025 Conversions From Traditional IRAs to Roth IRAs, line 16 shows 7,000 and line 17 shows 7000 and line 18 shows 0. Is this correct? Last year when I filed part II was blank.

For 2025, the IRS has kept the W-2 form the same as prior years. This means that many employers are utilizing Box 14 to reflect changes in the tax laws such as “No Tax On Tips” and “No Tax on Overtime”. Box 14 is typically a space for employers to include additional information you need to know, and there are no standardized nationwide codes for most items in that box. To assist you in filing your taxes, we’ve created articles (linked below) that explain how these new laws work with regard to deducting tips and overtime pay and where to find these amounts if there is no code in Box 14. Next year, the W-2 form will include specific codes and boxes dedicated to these tax changes.
Thank you for asking this question. I thought I was going crazy too. I can't understand why this wasn't fixed before January 31st. It's really not acceptable.
