I want to know why I owe? The agent that I spoke to earlier, said that I didn’t owe.
Need to speak to someone about my return. It doesn’t make sense.

Say all of it is the RMD.   If you need to take the RMD it will ask you if it is the RMD.  Say yes.  Anything your pension pays you is considered to be the  RMD.  Traditional pensions automatically fulfill the rules of an RMD. So for the RMD question put in the same amount as box 1.

A TurboTax FAQ says "Intuit will restrict the installation of future (2025 and later) versions of TurboTax Desktop on Windows 10." It's not clear what "restrict the installation" means. Does it mean that you can't install it at all? We haven't gotten a clear answer. Intuit has announced that at least one of their professional products for 2025 will work in Windows 10.

@mana1o , do you still need help on this ? Generally, I would enter an allocated amount for mortgage interest and property taxes  on schedule-E ( rental income ) based on square footage.  Note that there is also depreciation  for the rental portion of the property  ( again you have to allocate the a portion of the total acquisition cost and  land underneath for purposes of  computing depreciable basis. That portion of  mortgage interest and  property taxes   not allocated to the rental property is eligible for use  for your itemized deduction ( if you use that rather than standard deduction ).   Is there more I can do for you ?

What is your question about the What -If worksheet?  It is only available in the Desktop program.  If you have the Desktop program, Go to Forms Mode, click Forms in the upper right or on the left for Mac. Then click Open Forms box in the top of the column on the left. Open the US listing of forms and towards the bottom find the What-if worksheet. It's right under Estimated Taxes.

@Opus 17 wrote: That's the official name of the law.  Blame someone else.    https://www.congress.gov/bill/119th-congress/house-bill/1/text   No, it is not.   That name was removed before it became law (I think due to Senate rules, but I'm not certain).  You can compare the first few paragraphs of the text of the older versions (which include that name) with the first few paragraphs of the Enrolled Bill with no longer officially calls it that.   But it is still commonly and informally referred to by that name, and probably always will be.

Is the error with a social security Number on your return for you or a dependent?  Or with the amount of your SS?     Do you have an amount on 1040 line 6b or is it 0? What usually happens is the IRS changed some other income on your return. Like the taxable amount of a 1099R you got or you missed entering some income. Like if a 1099R got entered on the wrong line 1040 line 4 or 5, the IRS would miss it and think you didn’t report it. By increasing your other income it made more of your SS taxable.   You get 0 on 6b if you didn't answer the Foreign question right. Or if the amount on 6b is too low and you are married you answered it wrong for one spouse.   There is a new question this year asking if you lived in a foreign place. People have been answering it wrong or skipping it. Go back through the Social Security entries and check, check for each spouse if married. If the IRS adjusted your return you do not need to amend.
