IRS interview to help determine who can be claimed:
https://www.irs.gov/help/ita/who-can-i-claim-as-a-dependent
Qualifying relative
They don't have to be related to you (despite the name).
They aren't claimed as a dependent by someone else.
They're a U.S. citizen, resident alien, national, or a Canadian or Mexican resident.
They aren’t filing a joint return with their spouse.
They lived with you the entire year (exceptions apply).
They made less than $5050 in 2024 (not counting Social Security)
You provided more than half of their financial support.
When you add someone as a dependent, we'll ask a series of questions to make sure you can claim them. There may be other tax benefits you can get when you claim a dependent.

As an alternative to filing 1040-es you can go to irs.gov website and use their Direct Pay system to make your estimated payments. You would then not need to send in your 1040-es forms.

If your daughter is living on her own, and you are claiming her as a dependent, the credit would only be a $500 Other Dependent credit. This is a non-refundable credit that you must have a tax liability to reduce. If you do have a tax liability and she does qualify as a dependent, then you can go back and double check your answers to be sure you answered them accurately.

In my experience, I did not need IP PIN for my daughter. Just my IP PIN was sufficient. I also submitted amendment for daughter’s return prior to my return which I am not sure if it helped.

What kind of business are you trying to file an extension for? Some filing deadlines for business tax returns has passed.
March 17, 2025 - Tax returns are due for some business types (partnerships and S corporations). Businesses taxed as partnerships (including multi-member LLCs) and S corporations need to file Form 1065 or Form 1120-S, respectively, by March 17, 2025, if they are a calendar year business. If your business uses a fiscal year, you need to file your tax return by the 15th day of the third month following the close of your tax year. For example, if your business uses an April 1 to March 31 tax year, your business tax return would be due June 16, 2025 instead of March 17, 2025.
April 15, 2025 - Taxes for C corporations are due. Businesses organized as a C corporation need to file Form 1120 by April 15, 2025, if they are a calendar-year business. If your business uses a fiscal year, you need to file your tax return by the 15th day of the fourth month following the close of your tax year. For example, if your business uses an April 1 to March 31 tax year, your business tax return would be due July 15 instead of in April.

Go back to the screen in the TurboTax interview where you enter the address of the school. First delete all the address information that you have entered. Then, directly under the school's name, where it says "Does your school have a foreign address?" select Yes. Then you should be able to enter the foreign address without a state and zip code.
In review, if it comes up, Continue past it.

I was lucky to find this posting that described my similar situation. I had also stumbled upon the right-click cell to Override in the MI-2210. It is a shame that the rest of the worksheet does not update to the overridden withholding values and I had to figure and override/enter those myself. I do not see a way to "Add supporting details..." or attach required documentation (eg: paystubs showing withholding). Intuit: Is this something that could be considered to be improved? Michigan: I wish you would update the annualization procedures to match Fed. I also recall having to manually trigger the Fed 2210 because unlike the State I was not alerted to the penalty and offered a similar "Try annualizing?" question. Did I miss something?

IRS Individual Online Account
Taxpayers with a Social Security number or an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number can create or access their IRS Individual Online Account to get information they need to file their return.
With an IRS Individual Online Account, people can:
View balance owed, payment history and schedule payments.
Cancel scheduled payments.
Get transcripts.
View or create payment plans.
See digital copies of some IRS notices.
View key data from their most recently filed tax return, including adjusted gross income.
Validate bank accounts and save multiple accounts, eliminating the need to re-enter bank account information every time they make a payment.
View, approve and electronically sign power of attorney and tax information authorizations from their tax professional.
If you want to check the debit date you specified, look on the filing instructions for your return. It will tell you the debit date the IRS or State will deduct the payment. If you did not print them out you can view them using the following steps:
TurboTax Online
In TurboTax Online, sign into your account.
You should be on your Tax Home page.
Scroll down to Your tax returns & documents.
Select 2024, and then select Add a State (you're not actually adding a state, this just gets you into the right menu).
Once you're in your return, you can navigate around as usual.
Click Tax Tools (in the black bar on the left of your screen) and then click select Print Center.
Click Print, save or preview this year's return
TurboTax CD/Download
Go into Forms Mode by clicking on the Forms icon in the top right of the blue bar.
In the Forms in My Return list on the left, click Filing Inst. [It's usually toward the bottom of the list.] The form will appear on the right side of the screen.
You can view the form on the screen or you can print a copy by clicking the Print box at the bottom of the screen.
To return to the interview, click on the Step-By-Step icon in the top right of the blue bar.
