First let's determine if the easement income is taxable. Next, if you decide it is taxable, this might be a 'right of way' payment. If so then you should follow the steps below with details.
Grants or sales of limited easements are usually not treated as taxable sales of property. Instead, amounts received are subtracted from the cost basis/purchase price of the property. Any amounts received in excess of the cost basis are treated as taxable gain.
IRS Publication 544

Your signature ID (also called a self-select PIN) is a random 5-digit number you entered last year, right before you submitted your return.

I am retired and did some work for my former employer. It was being on a Zoom call discussing future work by new engineers. I am a retired engineer with 40 years with my employer. Also, turbotax asked me to fill in a product code for what I did. I could not find out where to find that answer. The outside firm I received my 1099 Misc form was the who my company hired to facilitate the meetings. Sorry for delay but I could not find the way to answer you back until today. Thanks in advance. Like I mentioned before this outside firm had no TIN#, no EIN# and no account(24 digit) number.

If you want to make changes or add a document to a tax return that has already been filed and accepted by the taxing agency, you should follow these guidelines.
You must first wait until the initial return is completely processed.
You will have to use the same TurboTax account that you used for the original tax return.
Once you begin your amendment, you'll see your original return.
The refund calculator will start new at $0 and only reflect the changes in the refund or tax due
Only make changes to the areas of your return that need to be corrected.
You have three years from the date you filed your return or two years after you paid the tax due (whichever is later) to file an amendment
Select your product below and follow the instructions.

We're very sorry that this occurred.
Once the tax return is accepted by the IRS we have no control over it.

This is correct. Since you didn't qualify for the child and dependent care credit, you have to pay tax on that $5000 that was originally withheld pre-tax.

You expected more than the software does. TurboTax desktop software has forms mode and a "what if" feature that lets you roughly compare MFJ to MFS, but it does not break it all down to little details, and it only splits things 50-50---which might not necessarily be the way you do things if you actually file MFS. So if you want detailed accurate results you go to the work of preparing the three returns--one MFJ, and two for MFS.
To use the WHAT IF tool:
- Click Forms Icon (upper right of screen) or Ctrl 2 (forms view)
- Click on the Open Form Icon
- In the “Type a form name.” area type What-If (with the dash), click on the name of the worksheet - click on Open Form
- You will see the worksheet on the right side of the screen; enter the information right into the form
- To get back to interview mode - click on the Step-by-Step Icon (upper right of screen) or Ctrl 1

We have not received information or situations like yours. You can send a copy of the W-2 to the IRS with a copy of your W-3, also an explanation of what your online IRS account is showing. If you choose you can try calling, but a letter always works better for resolution.
Call IRS at 800-829-1040
Lastly, be sure to confirm you are not actually looking at a 2023 W-2 at the IRS site that was filed for that year (not doubting, including all steps).
