FINAL UPDATE: My Colorado State refund has now been completely processed and the refund deposited into my checking account. Tip: Click on the pic below for an easier to read view. So, here's a final summary of the timeline for Colorado State to process my tax return and deposit my refund: My return showed "Accepted" in TurboTax on February 5, 2026. This is when Colorado state placed it in their "Return Not Received or Not Yet Processed" BLACK HOLE queue. My return advanced to the "Return Received & Being Processed" stage on February 19, 2026. The timeline to this point shows it took Colorado 14 days to start processing my return. My return advanced to the "Refund Reviewed" stage on February 21, 2026. I added 2 more days to the timeline, which made it 16 days at this point. My return advanced to the "Refund Approved and Sent" final stage on February 28, 2026. I added 7 more days to the timeline, which made it 23 days at this point. My refund was deposited into my checking account on March 3, 2026. I added 3 more days to the timeline, which made it a total of 26 days for Colorado State to completely process my return and deposit the refund into my account. This is just my opinion. I believe these extended timelines are now the new norm for Colorado State to process tax returns because of the additional measures they take to prevent fraud. Also, when they start processing returns at the beginning of each tax season, it takes them time to ramp up and catch up with the backlog of early filers. Hopefully this will help everyone to somewhat set your own expectations for the processing of your tax return with the State. Hang in their everyone! There is light at the end of the tunnel!

You can fill out Schedule C and enter 1099NEC, Cash or Self Employment Income into Online Deluxe but if you have any expenses you will have to upgrade to the Premium or use any of the Desktop CD/Download programs. All the Desktop programs have the same forms, so you can buy a lower version. You just get more help and guidance in the higher versions. The maximum contribution to all IRAs is $7000, or $8000 if you are over age 55. If you contribute to a workplace plan, such as a Roth account in a 401k, that is NOT an IRA. Workplace plans and IRAs are covered by different laws and some of the rules are different. Contributions to workplace plans are included on your W-2 and are NOT entered separately. Only enter actual contributions to a Roth IRA, if you have one.

@jillkr13 The Turbotax Fees are ONLY for paying for the software. What you owe [Edit] to TurboTax has nothing to do with that Federal Due $$ amount. You will be asked how you want to pay the Feds after you pay for the software. The state refund won't be involved either.....any State refund $$ cannot be directed to paying for the software......those are handled separately during your actual filing steps. ________________________ There is only one situation where a refund can be used to pay for the TurboTax Software...that is IF and only if you have a Federal refund which is at least $40 greater than your TTX software fees. And that is usually a HORRIBLE choice to make anyhow, and is not recommended by any of the experienced (non-TurboTax) folks in this forum.

I purchased Will Builder, but did not receive an email for access to this product. I called TurboTax customer service, since I purchased this product through TurboTax, but the representative was unable to help and didn't know anything about the product. I went to the ARAG website for help, but there is no reference to Will Builder and so far no help there either. I think this Will Builder may be a scam by TurboTax. Hopefully, this will eventually be resolved. I think I just might be out $39 though.

I did that and it still shows that it still needs to be reviewed. I did an online chat with a TurboTax agent and did the screen sharing and she confirmed I was doing everything right. She also said she was confused and told me to try again in 24 hours because there might be a system error in Turbo Tax. It’s been longer almost a week now and it’s doesn’t seem to updated still.

Most important is to follow the steps so that you will clear any sale action inside the vehicle itself. Then follow the steps to obtain the information for the sale of business property. A sale inside the vehicle is confusing since the business use changed year by year.
Answer Yes for sold, disposed of, etc....
Answer Yes it was converted to personal use
Gather the information provided and complete the Sale of Business Property. This will make the return complete and correct. Do NOT use any of the personal use portion in your tax return.

You received an email that we cannot see that tells you why your tax return was rejected.
Some rejected returns can be fixed and re-filed. Some have “un-fixable” reasons for the rejection and have to be mailed instead.
What is the rejection code or rejection message?
If it was rejected for AGI—-your 2024 AGI might not be in the IRS system if you filed late. Try using zero instead.
If filing with zero is rejected then file again but select the option that you did not file last year. The IRS does not see that question and it will allow you to e-file with no AGI question.
https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/agi/help/where-do-i-correct-my-agi-in-turbotax-online/00/26311
If that does not work and you still cannot e-file, then print, sign, and mail your tax return.
Most rejections are for AGI. AGI no longer matters for past years since you only needed it to e-file.
If your past couple of tax returns were rejected and you did not fix them and re-file, you can still file them by mail. E-filing is closed for past year returns, so print them, sign and date them in ink, and mail them in. Do not put two years of returns in the same envelope or the employee who opens the mail might miss one. Mail each year separately.
When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s. Use a mailing service that will track it, such as certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.
Federal and state returns must be in separate envelopes and they are mailed to different addresses. Read the mailing instructions that print with your tax return carefully so you mail them to the right addresses.
