Try clearing “cookies and cache” and logging back into TurboTax. This should reset the program so you can connect to your bank account.
Here's a TurboTax Help Article with the steps.
It still does not give me any options to add expenses. I click the pencil and the screen just reloads the same thing. I even click "Add Expenses for this work" and it does the same thing
We have been able to reproduce this experience in TurboTax Online but suspect this is browser-related. Please log out of TurboTax, refresh your browser, and clear your cookies and cache. Then restart your browser and log into TurboTax again.
Another option is to use a different browser.
When you return to the Self-Employment topic, enter your business income before working on your expenses. Also, you can try adding a new line of work (which you can delete later) before working on your current business.
This still is not working even when using a different browser. I am unable to add expenses. I tried what you said and added another line of business and then it gave me the option to connect my bank. I stopped and went back to the correct business and now it gives me a import button but once again the screen just flashes when I press it
Are you using TurboTax Premium? You can't add expenses in Deluxe; it handles only income from self-employment, not expenses.
And I know it was mentioned above, but please remember to clear you cache - that is usually the culprit.
If you already in the Premium version, use the direct link to Schedule C in this help article - Where do I enter my Self-Employment expenses?
Yes I am using premium. I cleared the cache when you mentioned it previously. I press the "Import Expense Transactions" button and it does nothing but flash
It depends. You may need to enter these expenses manually if the import feature doesn't work.
I can't even do that. It will not let me enter expenses. Screen just flashes. I can't even skip it
Sign out and sign back in. Use the direct link to Schedule C in this help article - Where do I enter my Self-Employment expenses? The Go to Schedule C link will take you to Your 2024 self-employment work summary. Click on the pencil icon next to your business.
Skip the import this time. When TurboTax recommends expenses, place a check next to the expenses you have. Answer any remaining set up questions. You will eventually get to your expense list. Then use the pencil icon to edit each expense category.
Go ahead and scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on Continue / Done. The Needs Review message will NOT prevent e-file. Before you file the return(s), TurboTax will take you through a Complete Check and will flag any errors that will prevent e-filing then.
Finally got around to trying it again and now it lets me manually enter expenses but it won't let me import from my bank about. I press the button to do that and the screen just flashes
So when you click on 'Connect Accounts' from the Expenses section of your Business, the screen just flashes? This really sounds like a computer issue.

I have been looking up information and trouble shooting through the mobile app, and on my laptop. 3 hours now.
No one is explaining anything on what steps in ordwr you need to do to get to this screen, and connect accounts. Do I need to get through all the pages until I file and send it? I've cleared my cache & done multiple troubleshooting options. TurboTax says they can add bank/credit card info to look for expenses, yet no one has any video showing how to get to it.
Not once have I seen the page you are showing in your screenshot. Do I just not file & never recommend this app? Do I file & pay a lot of money because TurboTax can't help me?
We appreciate your continued patience. This issue will be resolved with an update later this week. Please log back in or update your software on Friday, March 7, 2025.
