Thank you for the update, glad that worked for you.
@Jitu
I have over 2600 stock trades in 2022. It would take forever to manually enter that many transactions. The import has worked every year until this one.
Which bank are you having trouble with? Also, what happens when you try to import into Turbo Tax? @lgoodrph2
I'm having a problem importing stock transactions from Charles Schwab. I start the process and all goes well. I receive a notice that there is Success. The next steps says the import was unsuccessful. I've documented all of this today in previous posting. You should be able to see it.
I just sent about 10 screen shots of the entire process into Jennifer at TurboTax.
Hope this helps you.
I also am having the same exact problem but when importing stock transactions from Charles Schwab. After going through the steps to import transactions I can see the connection between TurboTax and Schwab. Then there is a message that says "Success. We got your Tax Data. You can now return to TurboTax". Next there is a pop up windows that says "Do you want to allow this page to open "Turbotax 2022 App? I can then click on "Cancel" or "Allow". I click on "Allow" and the next thing message I see I am back in TurboTax and the Message says "Import Unsuccessful". No one from TurboTax has been able to solve this problem. This is really aggravating.
I got lucky and may have accidentally found a solution to the downloading issues. First I use Mac with latest software. When ready to import from my financial institution there was a text widow over the log-in area which prevented me to enter login name and password. I spent over five or 6 hours with three times screen sharing with TTAX people and a phone call to an advisor at my institution. I had given up but at last try I accidentally clicked my mouse on the outside of the text box and it disappeared. I was then able to login and download. Boy! What a relief. Try it and hope it works for you too.
Please see the Help Article here that provides troubleshooting steps for importing your 1099.
Also, you might try to manually update your software before trying to import again. To manually update for Windows, please see the Help Article here. For Mac, please see this Help Article.
If this does not help, please comment here in the thread for further assistance.
I don't have a problem logging in. That is straightforward for me. Once I do login there is a handshake between TurboTax and Schwab along with a comment "we've got your data". I'm then asked "are you ready to return to the TurboTax App" and I answer yes. It is not until then that a box appears within TurboTax that says "Import was unsuccessful". The End.

How do I contact TurboTax? - Intuit
i have the same problem as you have where, window browser says "Success! We got your tax data. You can now return to TurboTax". When i go back to TurboTax, a small window pops up and says: "This 1099-B import was unsuccessful. Follow the steps in this article to fix this". I followed those steps but it doesn't resolves the issue.
Thanks for your help.
I spent over 1 hour with Justin from TurboTax this past Tuesday. We tried everything possible but nothing works. He concluded that TurboTax cannot handle the 2600 transactions I have in the file, even though TurboTax claims it can handle up to 10,000 stock transaction. Looks like I will have to resort to going the summary route.
Can't import any forms from brokerages. Have been through two phone sessions with turbotax and cleaned out everything on this end. they can't figure out why i'm getting an error message regarding length of document IDs. sooo--- i'm told i have options: enter everything manually, send my documents (about 40 pages worth) to them to prepare my taxes for me, hire a tax preparer or purchase a new turbotax disc to see if it's a glitch. They have considered my case closed . Aside from all this, has anyone encountered this problem with importing?
I did two things, and it worked.
1. Deleted caches and cookies from browser (I use Chrome).
2. Only selected forms from the investment accounts. (On my first try, when it failed I had all accounts, included checking and savings selected).
I’ve seen other responses say decoupling the accounts worked for them, and I had success downloading from other institutions after clearing the cache. On or the other or both will maybe work for you.
Yes, I have the same issue when importing from JP Morgan Chase. Have you reached out to customer support--- what have they said?
I am having the same exact problem important data from Fidelity. And, I'm having the same experience you are describing. I have been using Turbo Tax for 25 years and importing financial data from brokerage firms is the easiest process. Not this year. I am not interested in manual entry (why buy a tax software with download capability). I've called customer support twice and they don't know what to do. Very frustrating.
